Sanki is a Japanese department store that is like a Walmart and Ross (discount clothing store) combined. We take a mini tour of the store and explain why everyone wears masks in Japan. For additional information, visit our blog: https://www.thetravelpockets.com/new-blog/sanki-japan

  1. How did we miss the Sanki store>>>>??? We lived 3 month in Tokyo. And tbh I feel like wearing facial masks in some of the cities we traveled to.

  2. interesting names stuff: "mama butter"? "toe toe" That's good to know about the mask! Didnt realize that was the reason. What a great reason!

  3. It must be really fun to shop in Japan ๐Ÿ˜€ interesting thing about the masks… it kinda makes sense… but it still feels weird for me as an European ๐Ÿ™‚ but the products in the mask department of the shop may be a fun way of getting souvenirs from Japan ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. I love Ross in US, And I am sure I gonna love this store in Japan. It looks a bit more jam-pack than ross, but I am sure there is more interesting stuff for sale.

  5. The kids' masks are so cute. I definitely think it is a good idea for kids especially, because they are always touching their mouths and noses. This might help to lessen the sharing of germs. My mom would have a field day in that department store.
