Episode 24 – PART 2 of our Fraser Island Adventure, we show you the other way you could enjoy your stay on this stunning island by staying at the beautiful Kingfisher Bay Resort. But first we pack up camp and visit the Sandy Cape Lighthouse then make our way back through Ngkala Rocks and down to Champagne Pools. After a refreshing swim we continue back south and then drive across to the west side of Fraser Island to Kingfisher Bay Resort. Kingfisher is a great place to stay if you don’t like camping and want to enjoy the luxuries of the resort with its restaurant, bars, spas and pools. Kingfisher is also a great base to explore more of Fraser like Central Station and the most pristine stunning freshwater lake in the world Lake Mckenzie. After a few nights at Kingfisher Bay, we end our K’gari adventure and catch the barge to Hervey Bay! K’gari is now the official name for Fraser Island. It was re-named by the aboriginal name K’gari which the Australian Indigenous people have called this island for hundreds of years. K’gari means Paradise!!
