I was worried after your last couple of Amtrak experiences, but I'm happy for you that this trip seemed to go much more smoothly! My word, the scenery along this route is unbelievable. I just finished a 2-day Amtrak trip from Seattle to Chicago, and I thought the views on that trip were amazing, but it still doesn't compare to this.

I grew up in Chicago and now live in southern California (which is far from San Francisco) but it’s a pleasure to see you take a train I’m familiar with from my home city to where I’ve moved onto (sorta) – Amtrak isn’t the fanciest but it a core memory for me.
