Nagoya was our first city in Japan, which we probably wouldn’t have thought of if it wasn’t for our friend who is living and got married there. Although not a main tourist city, there was plenty to do including a castle, an interactive science museum, plenty of cool temples and shrines, and some great places to eat! Here we learned all about the purifying process for going into a shrine to pray, a seemingly uniquely Japanese custom when entering a Buddhist temple. We also went on a free tour of one of the breweries of Japans biggest beer producers.
