I flew with AIR INDIA Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in Business Class from Tokyo Narita to Delhi. Before I boarded this flight, my expectations were honestly pretty low due to Air India’s reputation. With that in mind, I was very nice surprised. The cabin crew were so friendly, the food was nice. I think after TATA takeover, Air India is getting better and better. I think if Air India fix something such as lounge service, amenity kits, and some old cabins, they will be able to advance more. 🙂

인도 국적기, 에어인디아 보잉 787 비즈니스 클래스에 탑승했습니다. 일본 도쿄 나리타공항에서 인도 뉴델리공항까지 9시간을 함께 했습니다. 사실 이번 비행은 큰 기대없이 탑승했습니다. 평소 에어인디아의 안 좋은 리뷰를 많이 봤기에 기대가 없었네요.
하지만 에어인디아 비행은 생각보다 꽤 만족스러웠습니다. 승무원분들은 아주 친절하셨고, 기내식도 훌륭했습니다.

Surprised you were told Lounge is closed during Covid-19. Could have gone to ANA Lounge as it is part of Star Alliance (reciprocal agreement with other Star Alliance partners?)
Please come to Japan again to travel around Japan by air. I recommend the flight of OKA to CTS on ANA, the longest domestic flight.

I lost my luggage and they just ignored me . I never got my luggage back. Not even compensation with a penny. One of the worst airlines in the world.
Honestly my opinion, crew was great cause you didn't deal with an all Indian crew, you had a Japanese flight attendant. If it was all indian it would have been a different experience. Try their Middle Eastern or Europe flights and you'll be left in tears 😢
The two meals looked really sumptuous! TFK did a good job indeed. 👍
You were also very lucky to get such terrific views of the various airports as well as Mount Fuji from 30,000 ft above ground! 👏
I guess the 'down' side of this flight was the non-provision of lounge. While I do understand that the contracted lounge(s) may not have resumed services, Air India could have at least given you a meal voucher. 🍪☕️

Air India is doing a good job in these days after the ownership was changed 👌
Before Pandemic, Air India business class passengers were sent to China Airlines' Lounge. It's weird that AI is the only Star Alliance carrier at NRT not departing from their hub T1, but T2 🙄. Similarly, China Airlines is the only Sky Team carrier also departing from T2 and not their hub T1.
As some who frequently flies between Delhi and Tokyo, thanks so much for uploading this video! I've always been curious to try out their business class, especially after being privatized.
From the video, the cabin and seat design looked quite dated, and the presentation of the food was also not "premium". However, the most vital part of the premium classes is the service, from the ground staff to the cabin crew, if the airline has made you feel exclusive and well cared for. This normally determines if the passenger will come back again.
Suggestion: fly iberia

I flew between LHR- Delhi – AMD and return AMD-BOM-LHR route two days ago.. Exceptional service in economy class, ontime departure, before time arrival, hot meals.. All worth it AI due to great crew of Maharaja. Thanks AI

I have very low expectations too before I viewed your video because the airline was famous of its low reputation. Surprisingly it's a good experience. I wish I could try this airline some day if I have the chance to do so.

The food is catered by Japan kitchen. You need to review the food from India outbound flights.
I am from Singapore. I travel to India in 2010 twice. Both time I have very bad experience with ground staff.
