Triumph Bonneville T120’s and winding country roads are a match made in heaven, even on a wet Autumn day.

The UK has a lot of history and you don’t have go far to find some truly ancient sites. Starting the day with a visit to the prehistoric Arbor Low stone circle, my plans to take in the sunrise was thwarted by heavy fog, but it added to the mystery of the place so I didn’t mind. People have been coming to Arbor Low for thousands of years, so I’m sure I’m not first to feel a strange calm in the morning stillness there.

Leaving the henge ruins, my reason for coming to this part of the Peak District was to ride the infamous Via Gellia Road. A very popular biker road in Derbyshire and part of the reason so many bikers flock to nearby Matlock Bath. Personally, I found there to be a few too many lorries on the road having little care for road boundaries, leaving me feeling that the road’s poor safety reputation might well be deserved. So I turned off and headed to the village of Tissington, a beautiful little place built around the impressive Tissington Hall. It’s a great place to stop for a cup of tea and a cream cake.

  1. Great film as always Matt. Hope you don't mind me asking, but what make is the rear rack on your T120? Is it a Triumph one?

  5. Nicely paced video Matt. The bit of spoken commentary is a neat touch. Couldn't help but notice the pannier bags' strategic placing….

  6. Hi Matt. Great to hear you speaking to us. You're inspiring me to continue riding my Triumph, even as the seasons change, albeit very late this year, especially for us in the south.

  7. A gentleman and his motorcycle, very atmospheric and again a pleasure, again a great video that I will watch more often.

  9. Great job Matt, you can even make a grey dull day look amazing! Quick question, I've just purchased an Aria Rapide and I'm thinking of adding the sun visor. How do you find the visor is it worth the £100 purchase price??

  17. I really like your style of filming, and having the spoken introduction by you is really good. How much time do spend stopping and setting up your tripod? Does it not disrupt your ride a lot? Cheers

  18. Bonjour Matt, nice landscape, nice music and nice bike ! Thank you for this great moment of plenitude ! Have got a T120 cobalt blue/silver ice and i love my horse too 😉

  20. Witaj. Kolejny fajny klip. Zresztą oglądając każdy film to tak jakby podróżować razem z tobą. Podziekowania za pracę jaką wkładasz w każdy z nich. Pozdrowienia dla wszystkich ogladajacych motocyklistów!💪👍

  21. Hi Matt, thanks for braving the increasingly colder and damp conditions to entertain us with another of your wonderful videos. I thought the spoken piece to camera worked, and really liked the shallow depth of field shots, particularly those with the foreground deliberately out-of-focus.

  22. Great video, These are my local roads, always good to ride. Just a bit more talking and description through the video would improve it for me. Keep up the good work, phil
