Morocco has some ultimate street food, and here in Rabat there is loads of street food to be had in the old medina. On this ultimate street food tour in Rabat, we started off our day with the local medina sandwich of habricha, full of meat and spices. Head meat is a popular Moroccan food, so we had to try a steamed cow head sandwich, too. This cow head meat was super tender and tasty, full of flavour with a yummy cumin addition.
To continue our ultimate street food tour in Rabat, Morocco, we went looking for the most popular food in Rabat and tried out some delicious local pastries and the popular Moroccan food of merguez sausage. Merguez sausages are a popular street food in Morocco. Grab your merguez sausage, put them in fresh Moroccan khobz, and you’re away!

Couscous is Morocco’s national dish, so this was a special treat for us, since we’ve been wanting to see the preparation of Moroccan couscous since we arrived in Morocco. This was a massive Moroccan couscous, and the time and effort that goes into making this popular Moroccan food is worth seeing.
