Lake chuzenji is chosen as one of Japan’s 100 Landscapes. It is especially beautiful
in mid to late October, when the autumn colors reach their peak along the lake’s
shores and surrounding mountain。
It’s possible to hike around the entire 25-kilometer circumference of lake Chuzenji
via hilly lakeside walking trails. You can also enjoy riding cruise ship to cruise
around Lake Chuzenji. There is also an irregular Autumn Leaf travel course. The
ship cruise at a leisurely speed, not too far from the shore. If you are interested
you can enjoy that. This may be a rare opportunity for you to appreciate mountain
autumn leaves only from boat.
Access: from Asakusa (Tokyo) Take the Kegon line or Kinu Line to Tobu Nikko
Station. If you take Kinu Line You must change the train at Shimo-Imaichi Station.
From Omiya Station to take Utsunomiya Line bound for Utsunomiya. Transfer to
JR Nikko Line, bound for Nikko. Or From Omiya Station Take Yamabiko service
On the Tohoku Shinkansen line bound for Sendai then transfer to Utsunomiya
JR Nikko line bound for Nikko. Just take care you must pay 4180-yen, little bit
expensive! From JR Nikko or Tobu Nikko Station to take a bus bound for either
Yumoto Onsen or Chuzenji Onsen. Buses leave regularly and take around 45-50
minutes to reach Chuzenji Onsen Terminal.
If you are driving, you can take the winding roads of Irohazaka a famous driving
route linking central Nikko with the highlands of Okunikko which has plenty of
sightseeing spots on the way where you can stop to take pictures. This route can
get busy on weekend or Holidays. May to choose weekday is a best choice.

泉或者中禅寺温泉的巴士。巴士正常运行，4，50分将到达中禅寺温泉车站。
