By far one of Japan’s most exciting festivals in Aomori’s amazing Nebuta Matsuri! HUGE floats in the shape of mythological creatures and samurai parade the streets for 6 nights between August 2-7 every year! No words can describe the incredible atmosphere. The best part? You don’t have to limit yourself to watching from the sidelines – hire a ‘haneto’ outfit and join in the crowds of dancers behind each float!
