Air China: Why design a business class seat we got Air India
nothing about air china is over the top. the expectation is not to stay at the bottom for too long.
Try China Southern's Premium Economy (obviously after the pandemic). It's like a Level 2 business class!
Great review as usual, Simon….but I’ve got to ask: At 11.10, when the food is in front of you, why do you turn the pork stew dish around 180°?? What’s the point of that? We could see it perfectly well before you turned it!! Or are you trying to send us some sort of hidden message with your actions??😂😂✈️

I actually have an amenity kit in my house. Which was given by my teacher in school. Also its from Asiana Airlines.
that amenity kit looks really nice, i've seen pricier business class that only give you 4 or 5 things

All in all pretty good.
But Air China still needs to work at plating presentation.
Take a page from Japan's JAL or ANA or Taiwan's EVA Air for overall presentation.
Filling the entree plate to the rim is really a turnoff.
What a long road ahead for mainland Chinese carriers to ever match Taiwan based ones. I don’t think they really care and the repressive turn in the country could cripple tourism .
Air China has really great deals I had no problems so far. I live in Tokyo and fly to Europe very often to visit my family. I saved A LOT of many so no complaints so far hostesses give you free snacks if you ask and they are really nice too. Food is quite good. 100% would recommend if you are looking for cheap international flights solutions. Not recommended if you are picky about every little thing. I did fly with them 7 times already and never regretted anything at least I can hug my family one time per year and spend time with them. Planes always arrived on time two times even one hour before the estimated arrival hour.
Air China should fly the a330-300 from Beijing to Darwin, Saint Petersburg or Helsinki non-stop!
The amenity kit is nice, but the presentation of the food is terrible, especially for a first meal in business class on a long haul. Not only the tray but the messy plate!
