We spent three weeks in Japan shortly after it reopened to tourists in October 2022 and this is a vlog from our brief day trip to Nara to hang out with all the (mostly) friendly deer.

  2. yeah!! Japan is quite an inexpensive country!! shopping, foods are very affordable!! heaven for travelers hahaha not like Korea, transportations here are not government-subsidized ,so they are quiet pricey ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Hays runs so fast that I hardly see his feet.๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜ Hays, don't be scared. Those deers will be gentle to you and I see it won't be running faster than you. No way. It's so sweet when Hays said "I love you" to mama. The Todaiji temple is huge and beautiful. Enjoy the lovely Autumn and delicious food in Japan.

  4. Do you guys plan on exploring Kyoto too? I would love to see you guys explore the ancient traditional side of Japan as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Todaiji Temple in Nara, the Great Buddha was created in 752 by ่กŒๅŸบGyoki, a Baekje monk in South Korea.่กŒๅŸบ Gyoki taught Japan the techniques of Korean bridge building, weaving, and writing. The traditional organization of architects who still restores temples today is the Kongo Gumi, which has Korean ancestry. Only ้‡‘ๅ‰›็ต„Kongo-gumi has inherited the technique of repairing temples over 1000 years old.

  11. Kyoto is home to many shrines and temples built by ้ซ˜ๅฅ้บ—Goguryeo, ็™พๆธˆBaekje, and ๆ–ฐ็พ…Silla during the coreaThree Kingdoms period of Korea. In Tokyo, there are many ruins of ruins called Goguryeo, such as Korai Bridge.located throughout Japan๐Ÿคด๐Ÿ‘ธ

  12. Hays making his own on-camera appearance and commentary just made me super smiley. Hays running in the breeze with his tee shirt with rolled up sleeves – so cute. Researched travel is all very good and interesting, but like you guys, sometimes I just like to show up and experience it; the vibe and general impressions are the only things that are surviving in my increasingly hazy memory anyways. The tempura and the ramen looked sooo delicious. Looking forward to India in a big way!

  14. Because you are travelling with Hays, your travel vlogs always show something a little different from more conventional videos : I find it very interesting.
It is amazing how Hays is so confident in front of the camera!
Now we have 3 reporters telling us their stories.
It is nice how much Pete seems to have fun playing with his son. Sometimes I who has more fun Pete or Hays ๐Ÿคช
I visited Japan several times but I have never been in Nara so far because the Japanese lady who showed me Tokyo told me Nara was very much influenced by Korea and that it would be more interesting to visit other parts of Japan.
Thank you for showing this beautiful park and temple in Nara.
