This is a photography and travel guide to Tohoku, the norther part of Japan’s main island, Honshu. In this episode, Ted and I travel to Miyako, the Sanriku Coast, the Hirosaki Snow Lantern Festival, the frozen waterfalls of Oriase Gorge, and street photography in Akita City. The unexpected bonus was a side trip to the amazing Kakunodate Fire and Snow festival.

For all the photography in this video I used Fujifilm X-T2 and X-T20 camera bodies. The majority of my photos were with the Fujifilm XF16-55mm f/2.8, Fujifilm XF23mm f/2, and the Fujifilm XF 16-80mm F/4, which I was using for travel photography for the first timew on this trip. Ted was using a Fujifilm X-T3 body, the Fujifilm XF 16-80mm F/4, Fujifilm XF 18-55mm, and the Fujifilm XF 55-200mm.
