Trying Singaporean/Malaysian food in Barcelona, Spain. I found two named “Kopi Tiam” and “Restaurant Malaysia” – sounds pretty authentic, but how’s the taste? It blew my mind.

The delicious instant soups from Cosmos Foods are not available in Singapore! Purchase them here:

  1. Kopitiam means coffee shop in Hokkien. It refers to local style coffee shops with a few stalls and a dining area within the same compound. The local chain of food courts named "Kopitiam" are not actually Kopitiams because they are too big in scale.😅

  2. Ghib San, you should not waste ur money on tasting Singaporean or Malaysian food in Spain, it is too expensive trying local food overseas. It is better to try their local food there, think it will more bang for bucks. Enjoy ur trip!

  3. I recently got a message from this channel ssying that I've been chosen to reveive some free gifts and to dm on Telegram. Is this real?

  4. must be dude to lock down during 2019 can't fly back to SG, I believe it happen for a reason …maybe they miss SG food once border open all flew back to SG …
open just to promote SG into the country people who never heard before …

  5. I was in Spain in February this year 2022, 本当に楽しかった。Going to visit Turkey this coming February 2023, お楽しみにですね。

  6. Your wife is wise and listen to her how to eat nasi lemak/ curry chicken 🙄🤣🤣. Probably Malaysian/ Singaporean food are more popular in UK than Europe….I think

  7. Aiyoh I am watching this past midnight and your nasi lemak rice plus laksa all are making me hungry 😒😭!

  8. I love how you said sotong instead of squid hahaha, so singaporean. Spanish food looks super yummy! Makes me wanna visit the country.

  9. greetings from Germany. i made nyonya butterfly pea nasi lemak myself. My ang mo husband loves nasi lemak. Different between malaysia and Singapore nasi lemak. All are difference. Nasi Lemak do comes with chicken curry, My grandma cooked that and with tempeh.

  10. I passed by that restaurant when I was in Barcelona for work!! Always wondering what it was like. Thanks for going there and trying it out!!

  11. Amazing trip. Keep exploring Mr Mrs Ghib. Southern Eu is so easy for asian palettes. The northern parts will get tougher 😆 taste, spice missing, weather is cold, food is cold. Don't understand it. 😆😆

  12. I feel you should try authentic Malaysian cuisine first before taking this trip to Barcelona to intro those dishes. In this video, I noticed a lot of second guessing and even a few mispronounciation of malaysia classic dishes from the menu. It's like asking an African to review Korean kimchi in Brazil. However, I do not totally fault you as you were not born & bred in SG, prob your wife would be in a much better position to do this review. Anws, double thumbs up for your effort while doing what most people can only dream about for a job 👍🏻 👍🏻

  13. Nasi Lemak with curry is pretty rare but it's possible if you search hard enough. They probably wanted to make it worth the amount of money spent to include the curry. Anyways great content and making me hungry as usual lol!

  14. The authentic NasiLemak only served with coconut rice, sambal sauce (the soul), ikan pilis, deep dried peanut, slices of cucumber, and fullboil egg.

Topping with Fried chicken wing, fish cake, nugget, chicken cutlet and etc are the varieties only 'norm' to be found at Singapore.
Malaysia style if you would have 'improved' topping are mostly ayam masak merah, ayam/daging rendang, ayam goreng rempah and etc ~

  15. The soups looks so good. For those of us living overseas is there a link to shop direct from Japan?

  16. ジブおじさんの流暢な英語聞くのと、関西弁の、翻訳おもしろいですー☺️☺️☺️
    バルセロナ行きたくなりますー❣

  17. The laksa can be had with egg and rice noodles. I have this with chicken and prawn in the same dish.

  18. For some reason, the moment I saw you eat that Japanese soup I was sold. And what was that spotted somen? I want!

  19. 東京にいたあの数年、シンガポール料理を食べたかったら、いつも新大久保駅の近くにあるマレーシア料理屋さんで「解決してた」。懐かしいあの頃

  20. Nice vlog, so long never see your hair, capless. Thought you botak already.

  21. 1件目まさかのシンガポール料理なし😂
    レシピ残してみんなが作れるようにはしなかったんですねー。海外の街並み、どこも日本と全然違うから面白いです
