This vlog is of our second day in Key West, Florida during our weekend getaway! Our second day was spent doing some sightseeing as well as off shore fishing and snorkeling in Key West, Florida!
We started the day by getting up and going downtown Key West to see the Southernmost point landmark and the Mile 0 sign. There’s lots to see and do in Key West and both are fun places to see!
After sightseeing, we checked out of our first hotel and drove to our second hotel where we would be spending the remainder of our time.
After getting settled, we went to Publix to get chicken tender subs for lunch to eat on the beach. This was my family’s first time having chicken tender subs and I think they were impressed and understand why I rave about them all the time now!
After eating, we spent some time snorkeling in the ocean. The water wasn’t as clear as we were expecting, but we were still able to see lots of fish, urchins, conch shells, and sea biscuits!
We got cleaned up from snorkeling and prepare for the remainder of the day which would be spent on an off shore fishing charter that we had booked. We got our fishing charter at the Hurricane Hole Marina.
The fishing trip was a success! We caught lots of sharks and tarpon as well as some fish we would be eating for lunch the next day.
We finished our day off eating at a restaurant at the marina then went back to our hotel to get some rest since we would be waking up early the next day to catch our morning fishing charter.

Looks like you had a great time. I actually used to live in key largo when I was a kid.
I can't believe how clear the water was in some spots. Loved seeing the Live Coral & the sand dollar you found. I've always wanted to go snorkeling but I wear contacts. Do you wear contacts when you're snorkeling?
