The Akshaya Patra Foundation has provided 3 billion free school meals and is one of India’s largest nongovernmental organizations. It prepares freshly cooked food and nutritious meals for 2 million children every day in 65 kitchens across 14 states and two union territories in India. We visited one of its mega kitchens in Bangalore to see how cooks produce 75,000 meals in under four hours.

  1. When do you learn about hygiene and stop eating by bare hand? It’s annoying
Chopsticks or spoon or anything. It shouldn’t be the culture for the excuse.
It’s just unacceptable when putting side by side with rocket to the moon video. What is the point if children still eat their food by the freaking bare hands

  2. 8:26 protip: choose the white plate and not the metal plate. did you see the portion size that girl got? she be the serving latdy's daughter or something.

  3. Big up to Karnataka to take this initiative and hopefully the other billionaires also contribute to this wonderful initiative.

  4. I just watched a YouTube video about child laborers in India. They were saying if they didn't work in the mines they would stay hungry. Is this food not available to those children?

  5. The USA will never accomplish anything like this for their children. They are too selfish and idiotic. They will call it "communism" and half of the sheep will vote against it.

  6. When that little girl said I remember my mother cooking while eating. in Telugu language Makes me happy
Hats offs to Akshaya Patra ❤️✨

  7. Is there any other cuntry in the world where food is free for people no there is only one india. But westens are always see india as poor and dirty place. Change ur mind india will soon teach the world. How to run a democracy.

  8. It looks better and more nutritious than anything served in American schools. They use coal for power too… smart and cost effective. America proves that common sense just isn't so common anymore. Hoping that will change in '24.

  9. A most Honorable and commendable endeavor… so just continue to irresponsibly reproduce and let others figure out how to support them… and why not develop a government funded system for free vasectomies based on the individual’s ability to provide sustenance and support for their offspring, to reduce human suffering…. ?

  10. Great work , I just wonder how they will clean those tube that funnel down to the cooking pot, it seem hard to keep all of them clean

  11. Why is this largest malnourished meal provider getting too much attention, could be the drugs supplied to these documentary makers!!

  12. I cannot count the many ways I have been failed by free "nutritious" breakfasts and lunches given to me by the us government. I had chronic malnutrition all through my childhood, they were serving us things that were always expired and contaminated, in portions meant for 4 year olds. because of this i developed a severe eating disorder. when I was a baby doctors estimated I would be 6'2 by 18, I am only 5'4. I would not feed dogs what I was served. when I see videos like this I'm glad that less kids will go through what I went through, and grow up with a healthy relationship with food
