Sarah Jane is smart little cookie and you handle yourself around her, just be honest with her, you live day by day, no fancy restaurants on your budget.
I have a Mensa score of 123, but do I feel smart. NO, I mess up like everybody else, and I find it hard to communicate with other people, so people who appear smart are no different than anybody else. Holly probably feels just as awkward as you. Don't embarrass he or pressure her, let things take it's course.
I grew up with a beautiful person, and I was going to ask her out when I/we was in our 20's, but before I had a chance to say a word, all the doubts rushed through my mind, she was from a financially secure family, she was smart and I was from a poor family, had nothing that I could provide for her, so I decided that it would be better if I shut my mouth, If I tried and failed, I might lose the best friend I have ever had, If I kept my feeling to my self, we might always be friends, I was invited to her wedding some years later, it was crushing but I was happy for her, she has since divorced and remarried, I still see her when I go to the doctors as that is where she works with he husband. I have known her for over 60 years, we were babies together, she was my next door neighbor, and even though I never told her how I felt about her, she knows.
Sometimes you have to put you doubts aside and hope for the best.
