■TripNotes

Spot1:Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter
The “”Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter”” in Kurashiki city once prospered as the political and commercial center. Streets from the Edo period with a mixture of Japanese and western styles have been preserved to date.
We recommend activities such as sailing down the Kurashiki River, roaming around wearing a kimono, and visiting “”Ohara Museum of Art”” and appreciating the handicrafts. Kurashiki is also the birthplace of Japan’s denim, which is why many visitors come here seeking high-quality denim.

Spot2:Okayama Castle
“”Okayama Castle”” is located next to Asahi River and is known for its jet-black color. It borders Okayama Korakuen and you can see the streets of Okayama from the top of the castle.
You can try Bizen-yaki pottery at the castle. You can also take pictures by trying on traditional costumes of Japanese feudal lord or princess.

Spot3:Okayama Korakuen
“”Okayama Korakuen”” is known as one of the three most famous Japanese gardens. The garden consists of tea plantation, Tsuruya birdhouse, where you can see Japanese cranes, beautiful ponds and a teahouse, as well as flowers and other plants that you can enjoy viewing throughout all seasons. Yuishinzan is a famous spot for taking photographs where you can view all the ponds. Variety of events are held throughout the year such as tea harvesting, rice plantation so you will be able to experience Japanese traditions whenever you visit.

Food:Fruit Parfait
Okayama is one of the leading fruit-producing prefectures in Japan. There are many shops that offer delicious parfaits made of local fruits.
Besides the delicious taste, a parfait served with fresh fruits looks great as an Instagram picture.
