Don’t waste your money with Delta One Suites….
Aware that’s a strong statement. There is reason for in my brashness.
Currently Delta fly their Delta One new suites product onboard their Airbus A350, Airbus A330 Neo and select retrofitted 767-400ERs. Today I’ll be getting onboard the later. Now before the barrage of disagreement in incorrectly calling the 767 suites… its very similar just without a door. The focus on today’s review is as always the overall experience and should you fly it? Unfortunately Delta has not delivered with their Business / First Class product in 2020 / 2021. They have significantly cut back their offering under the guise of ‘rona. Currently on a near six hour, $700 dollar transcontinental flight you’ll get a snack box and no soft drinks… What’s more as you’ll see today, I was shocked to see the inconsistency in cleanliness onboard their aircraft.

This is America, where "good enough" is the standard. You're lucky they cared enough to put enough gas in the plane. Clean trays? Ain't nobody got time for that.
@Trek Trendy They have changed from this. They brought their full service back for trans con flights. At the time of this video it was only running for international. It was a covid experience. I am not sure why there are not doors on your suites. Also, Trans con flights are never a true "Delta One" experience.
As someone else noted, employees got profit sharing checks while the airline made no profit. Delta also did not lay off a single FA during covid. Yes, they cut costs. Yes they could have done it a little differently. But they aren't Ethiad or Qatar, those are government subsidized airlines.
I am confused as to why there was no door…
Staffing is terrible…
Should have been cleaned better.
Don’t even bother with American Airline, United Airline, Aeroflot Airline? Lufthansa Airline, and Alaska Airline.
“Brazil, the COVID capital of the world “. Dude, are you serious right now?! Seriously?! I can’t believe I heard that.
Flown Delta business class seats and they are extremely good. Since Covid is mostly over the meals they serve now are fully cooked and on a tray. None of it was cost cutting but Fauci / Unions stipulating what can be served.
Bye bye Delta, hello Jetblue
An honest review. Love it!
Did this guy work at NASA or does he just present he did..
Only started watching your videos other day and already a fan! Had no idea that first class on emirates etc were so good with champagne etc! Will probably never be able to afford it and I usually take Valium for flights because I don’t really like flying so would be a bit of a waste but I bet my usual economy sleep would be greatly improved if I could sleep in first class!!
thank you for your honesty!!
I'm rewatching this video and now seeing that most airlines have returned to almost normal. Will you be flying with airlines that disappointed in the past to see if they've improved or stayed the same? Such as Iberia, Delta, Turkish, United, etc.
So, I had a Coke on board Delta today.
I really had to laugh at $700 one way business. In Australia you wouldn’t get a seat in the cargo hold for that money. $700 is not expensive for a business class ticket for a six hour flight
Just flew Delta One from BOS to AMS on one of their A330-900neo planes, and it seems full service has returned. I never flew Delta One pre-pandemic, so I’m not familiar with the level of service that was offered in Delta One pre-pandemic, but it felt like full service to me. While my experience was far better than this one, it was what Sam Chui hyped it up to be. I dont know when Delta returned to full service, but I also flew First Class from ATL to GUA in June 2022, and was served 2 larger snacks and a meal, as well as all beverages included, so service seems to have returned to normal.
The service with Delta for me was awful if my only Choice is to fly Delta I’d just not go.
So sorry to say no airlines in the US know how to do upper services. It's all lame. Poor service and crew that don't care.
nobody should expect anything from any american airlines. its always been shit and always will be.
I used delta a lot until this year. Way to expensive and unreliable
Poor service like this makes me ashamed of my country. I’m sorry to anyone whose first exposure to my country is through our airlines. On a side note, there’s a reason I always bring my own sanitation products with me.
love to see you do this now!
your cute
Don’t serve soft drinks? I flew on spirit air a week ago probably the cheapest airline in America and even they had $3.50 cans of coke for your $11 shots of liquor or $9 can of beer lol
This video is a bit, if research was done all U.S airlines were restricted on their inflight offerings both domestic and international. Delta One resume the hot meals, hot towels, all that stuff. But that contrasts with the cleaning which clearly wasn’t done too well but if you were coming from Brazil than those are contracted cleaning crew and not in house cleaning crew in the states. Just my two cents being in the industry, cheers! Still a decent video nonetheless
I flew Delta One from LA to Tokyo in January 2020 and was treated so poorly by the staff that I ended up grabbing my things and moving to Comfort+ for the rest of the flight. For an $8,000 flight it was abhorrently against my expectations and I ended up writing them about my experiences in a strongly worded survey.
Who pays for this? Does it mean you using around the washing for and get paid? Pity you don't do this for economy where the plans are! Please do a series on economy round the world. Seven hours with your knees round your ears, trying to balance everything on the tray may change your mind!
Good review. Happy to say most of this has been resolved after COVID, but during COVID this kind of soft product was horrible. One thing to point out is that this is not a Delta One Suite. This is a newer Delta One cabin, but not the suites.
Ugh.. flying to Tokyo soon and eyeing the suites on the neo aircraft. Now I am rethinking my choice to upgrade to the suite. It will be a 10+ hr flight and I am mainly interested in space and privacy. Thanks for the honest review
I’m diamond. I disagree somewhat about the suites. Will add soon.
As for lounges, JFK term 4wins with bright access, mood, and good airport views.
Head to the end of the term for the extension delta lounge in Boston. That one is fantastic.
I appreciate you sharing your experience. Personally I love Delta, they always treat me right.
Disappointing, but not a surprise, unfortunately..
Wah, Wah, Wah……stop being such a crybaby!!
I would lose my mind only getting some crackers for a 6 hour flight. On Qantas here in Australia you get crackers and cheese, alcohol, tea, coffee and as much Diet Coke as you like for a 2-3 hour flight !
Only flown 4 times in my life and could only afford seats with the “common folks” !!!
What a privileged white man thinks is so crappy, others can only dream of…..
The not serving soda doesn’t make sense. They always served soda
I’ve never flown first class where they didn’t offer an actual meal. That’s unbelievable
Absolutely disgusting. No soft drinks? And that is considered "food"? Screw U, Delta. And it seems the only time the seats ever got cleaned — was when they shot that faux video commercial for it. THis is $700 — and the JetBlue by comparison $399? Delta….. what a sad joke.
Wow!
This sounds like a true delta experience.
What is going on in these airlines?
Thank you for an honest review! Ive noticed that every flight ive been on lately does things differently even in the same level of service category. DELTA had been my chioce for the last 30,000 miles, but I'm thinking of trying another carrier..
The 767-400 has a modified version of the Delta One suite that makes it smaller due to the cabin being too narrow for the suite. They are basically just updated seats, and they can't really be called a "suite" due to them not having a closing door.
