I agree. Think of all the folks at sports events that never are tested or tracked. We are going on a 74 day cruise. I am not at all worried!
I agree with you about covid being around forever. And I hope that if people still feel the need to shelter in place until covid goes away that they're very young because they're going to be sheltered for a long time. I'm not going to waste anymore time that I have left on this Earth. I am going to cruise and just take normal precautions that I would always take like washing my hands frequently and trying to stay away from people who may be coughing or sneezing. But you're right … on an airplane you're stuck no matter how many people are coughing and sneezing.
Agree Covid is here to stay we just have to learn how to deal Covid today is not the same Covid from 2019 not saying it’s not serious just saying it different because we have come so far we have the tools now to manage it and move forward . I think it’s great cruising is able to move forward we are lucky to be able to sail
If they tested everyone getting off a cruise ship at each sailing…what would they find???????? I so agree. The media loves these stories.
The YouTube channel, Cruise with Ben and DAvid did an excellent video comparing Princess and Celebrity…I think you would enjoy it. Excellent information as always, thank you Allison.
Another very good video Allison. I agree with you that Covid will be here for many more years to come. I think that a very large percentage of people have been vaccinated who go on cruise ships and the idea of a vaccination is to minimize any or even illuminate symptoms. I for one have been vaccinated and boosted and from this moment forward I am not in the least going to worry about whether or not I test positive for Covid let’s enjoy life let’s enjoy cruising.
We are fortunate to be able to cruise. I don’t fear cruising, but I do worry about Covid, mainly because of the vulnerable people in my life. (They don’t cruise.) I grieve for those who have died from COVID (even today it’s 300+ daily.) I think it’s important to act responsibly and be aware of risks. Beyond that, you have to live your life in the best way possible. There’s no one right answer in this situation.
Hi. Do you know if passengers on Majestic were quarantined in cabin or moved? Were parties separated? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
The hospitals in North America are beginning ti get filled with Covid cases……This is what happens when there are no outside promenade decks so people can smell the ocean and have the salt air kill the virus among other disease……..
Yes, you can be exposed in any public place with a crowd, so why is it so hard for folks to just wear the mask IN CROWDS AND PUBLIC SPACES!
Hi Allison. Thanks for another great video. Quick ? when you have a chance…You had mentioned once before about Celebrity cruise schedules coming out through early 2025. I am trying to look up a transatlantic in Nov of 2024…I don't seem to be able to see 2024, only 2023 on the Celebrity website. What would be your best guess to when NOV of 2024 schedules will be available? Thanks for your time. Happy cruising!
Love the info that you give. Thanks! We are looking to book a circumnavigation of Australia in 2024. We aren’t particularly loyal to a cruise line for this trip as they seem to be few in number. If you hear of any could you please mention it in a video. I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance and enjoy your next cruise.
The portugal group cruise and the Japan group cruise sounds safe.Good choices
We were in Istanbul overnight. It was great to take a boat ride on the Bosphorus and see everything lit up.
Y
Allison, you have my attention! Asia would be another great trip, in 2024. Egypt/Israel for 2025 is wonderful hopefully prices aren't off the charts? Thank you for sharing that information
My brother just done a 65 day cruise on regent seven seas through Europe and every thing went well
The media in Australia beat up these stories about Covid on ships as there are no big stories to fill their newspapers & TV news slots. It is the old saying that sensation sells papers & most of the Australian media blow a story way out of proportion when they usually don't have all of the facts. Very irresponsible reporting. Covid is now with us & will continue to be with us, just like the flu. The Star & Golden Princess are now sailing out of Australia as P&O Australia's Pacific Encounter & Pacific Adventure, but still under the same umbrella of the Carnival Corporation. Thank you for your very honest & informative videos on cruising.
I think the cruise ships should still have safety restrictions in place such as mask wearing when around the ship. I know it is a pain but masks can make a difference. Interestingly Australia does not have isolation rules so all those people with Covid that got off in Sydney will have taken Covid with them if they weee still infectious. This is what the Australian government were angry about with the Ruby Princess in 2020. I appreciate you saying you are not scared to cruise.
Having caught Covid on my British Isles cruise on the Emerald Princess in September I agree it was worth it. I would do it all over again. I am hoping to book my next Princess cruise very soon
Masks are an utter joke
We won’t book our Australian cruise until this BS ends
Well first of all I did get COVID on my Alaskan cruise in June, but thankfully it was mild and not really a problem. I’m way more concerned about the actions the governments and cruise lines put in place in effort to combat it. The pre-cruise testing, the masks, the isolation, etc, THOSE are the things that I worry about more. When I got COVID in June I tested negative before my flight home but I decided to be cautious and wore a mask the whole day from disembarkation until I reached my car at my home airport. That was BY FAR the most miserable part of having COVID.
If you do a group cruise to Tokyo in 2024 there are 4 of us super interested in booking it with you!
How soon will you know?
We also want to go to Australia and the great barrier reef, British Isles, and Antarctica
I was onboard Majestic Princess in last April. Most passengers didn't wear mask in indoor public area, but I always wear it especially in theater and buffet restaurant. I feel sad about those passengers who don't care about this basic precaution. 😷😷😷
We were on the Majestic for 36 days ending Oct 31 so it included the cruise just before the 800 covid case cruise. The cruise prior was fine with no big covid issues onboard so my speculation is many if the 800 cases were brought onboard for the Oct 31 NZ cruise versus carryovers from the cruise prior that ended Oct 31 in Sydney.
