Are there too many tourists in Kyoto? Here are some old streets where there are few tourists and people are very kind and friendly.
The place is Hino Town, Shiga Prefecture. It takes about 2 hours from Kyoto by both train and car.
It is a traditional merchant town full of history and nature.
Even Japanese people do not know much about this place. It is a place completely unknown to foreigners.
I highly recommend this place because of its friendly townscape and people.
