G’day and good morning! Today we are in Cebu City! Is it WORTH THE HYPE!? In the Central Visayas area of the Philippines, the province of Cebu includes Cebu Island and more than 150 other nearby islands and islets. I can’t wait to share with you my initial thoughts on this more relaxed Philippine city. From mouthwatering Cebuano cuisine to historical sites that narrate the tales of the oldest city in the Philippines, Cebu City has a lot to offer.

For a more modern side of Cebu City, do visit Ayala Mall in Cebu Business Park and Sugbo Mercado in I.T. Park.
If you're interested in seeing a breathtaking view of Cebu from the mountaintops, try the La Vie in the Sky. A few minutes away is the Temple of Leah, a Greek-inspired temple.
I hope you'll have a memorable experience here in Cebu City.

Hi Jack you're so cool, you really know about the rich history of Cebu and its beauty. You're doing great. And here are some travel tips for you to enjoy the beauty of the Island, aside from exploring the South of Cebu province, a 2 to 4 hour trip from Cebu City (capital), for the famous heart pumping extreme adrenaline adventure the Canyoneering, Kawasan Falls, Aguinid Falls adventure, Tumalog Falls, Waterfall hunting, the Sardine run, Swim with the whale sharks, climbing Osmeña peak, the Simala Shrine, etc., and North of Cebu province for the 170-hectare the Cebu Safari & Adventure Park, pristine white sand beaches in Bantayan island, Virgin island, Malapascua, diving with Thresher Sharks, Camotes island, etc. And don't miss the Mactan Island where the airport is located; Mactan Island is a hub of world-class resorts, breathtaking diving sites, pristine beaches and islets that are home to Philippines luxury resorts; and the best island hopping adventure. It is also highly recommended to enjoy the beauty of Cebu City. Enjoy the local food like the world famous Cebu de lechon or inasal or litson in local Cebuano language, Sutukil, kinilaw, seafood, siomai, Danggit, Chorizo de Cebu, Dried mangoes, fresh mango, Otap, chicharon sa carcar, bud-bud, binignit, biko, halo-halo de Cebu, maja, masi, pintos sa Bogo, rosquillos, bocarillo, bucayo, ampao, masareal, puto, puto maya and sikwate, hopia de Cebu, Puso rice and eat it with litson/inasal, barbecue, ginabot, ngohiong, lansiao, tuslob buwa, pochero, linarang/larang, etc.. While you're in the City visit the Magellan's Cross, the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño Church, the newly built Santo Niño Chapel w/ a 30 foot giant image of Sto. Niño just behind the City Hall, the Carbon Market, Lapu-lapu shrine in mactan, SM seaside city the 3rd largest mall in the country, the Cebu Ocean Park next to sm seaside, the Nustar Resort and Casino, and try the new tourist destination in Cebu, it just open last April, the new Iconic landmark of Cebu the CCLEX (Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway) bridge or the Cebu 3rd Bridge, 8.9 km, the longest and the tallest bridge in the Philippines, just pay an extra 90 pesos for the toll fee, if you're driving from the airport and to the airport just take the CCLEX, and if you're already in the city just go to the srp, and the view is just simply astounding and breathtaking especially the ride from Cordova to Cebu City, the skyline of the city is just amazing. Visit also the Ayala terraces & roof top garden in ayala center, Sugbo Mercado in IT park (Information Technology park) or in CBP, the Carbon Street food market, the IL Corso Food Yard by the bay and watch the dancing musical fountain. To experience overlooking city view visit Blue Elephant sky lounge at night, Blu bar & grill in Marco Polo plaza, and Verified lounge. And just 20 to 30 minute ride away from the city center or from IT park (Information Technology park) you get the chance to explore the beauty of the mountains or uphills of Cebu City, such as: the Taoist Temple, Temple of Leah, Sirao gardens, Tops Lookout (temporary closed/redevelopment), Little Kyoto, and Delicious food with over-looking view in Top of Cebu restaurant, La Vie in the sky, Charlie's Cup, Chixboy, Mr. A bar & restaurant, and many more. Cebu lives up to its moniker as "The Gateway to a Thousand Journeys." There isn't a shortage of explorations to do in Cebu. Cebu offers a unique travel experience as it is a place where the city and paradise meet. Only in Cebu. Explore and enjoy the beauty of Cebu. The Queen City of the Philippines. Be safe and God bless. ♥️
