Mizusawa is a strategic point north of the Sendai Domain and has developed as a castle town. It is also famous as a city that produced many great men at the end of the Edo period. Currently, there is no castle, but the remnants of the castle town can be felt in various parts of the city. The first time we walk in two parts, starting from Mizusawa Station, we will pass through the shopping street in front of the station and aim for Otomekawa Park while taking a leisurely walk along the river edge.
