Siargao Philippines – $1 Filipino Dessert In Rural Philippines
Island hopping Siargao video ➑️ https://youtu.be/JXxBmfyw6Xc

We explored around the northern, less touristy part of Siargao island when Alex and me came across a local place, hidden in a side road, selling Filipino desserts. We decided to go with a Filipino classic dessert: Halo-Halo! Have you tried it before?

I am Ken Abroad, a full-time traveler traveling southeast Asia. It is my goal here on the channel to visit every country in southeast Asia and bring you along the journey.
You won’t see many tourist places in my videos, I rather like to show the β€œreal” sides of each country in my videos. Where do the local people go to eat? Where do they hang out? How do the locals travel through the country? Stuff like that.

  1. You can film the fighting arena but I think it's safer to censor or leave it off-screen in case youtube bots might not like it.

  2. Good times. Made me forget how traumatic the ride home was for me πŸ˜†πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ Thanks for the help that day man. I am forever grateful πŸ™β€οΈ

  3. Thanks for your reply concerning age and vlogger. Now I just only would need help how to do the first steps. Do I need money for start?

  5. Ken, you don't know what a German eggplant looks like? πŸ˜‚
I guess you have never eaten eggplant before coming to the Philippines.

  6. I AM PILIPINO AND RETIRED IN GERMANY I WOULD TO GO BACK HOME TO PHILIPPINES AND MY SECOND HOME GERMANY BECAUSE
MY RENTE IS NOT ENOUGH IN GERMANY ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES.
MANY NURSES IN GERMANY AND I DO OTHER JOB AS GLS WORKER.
A VERY HARD JOB BUT I AM ALREADY RETIRED NOW.

  7. Halo-halo is more like an afternoon snack than a dessert. It’s too heavy to be eaten after a meal.

  8. Ken if you were to meet some Philippino's that would show you a cock fighting practice where they place small boxing gloves on the roosters. This you could film as the roosters will not actually hurt each other. It is natural for roosters to fight. When they fight them for money , they put a blade on each rooster , this you may not like as one rooster will be killed. You should do a video on this , as this is a very big part of Philippines culture. Every Sunday , in every barangay , Philippino's fight roosters.

  9. Ken the 5,000 is the minimum bet they can place on each fight… it's not an entry fee… cheer's

  10. Ken exploring with a wingman today….. Cool.. Always good to have a local lad to tag along ,interact & exchange experience altogether. As always , stay safe, ride safely on the road ,mate.

And I like your attitude, not judging the culture, but just learning it and experience it. and I'm not sure to watch the chicken fight itself either…😐

  15. skipped the video a lot. since 30 minutes is too long. 15-20 is usually ok but 10-15 is better.
