Hi Mike I also did try out the Din Tai Fung in L.A 1st times and then 2nd times in San Jose location at Westfield Valley Fair, but the food were tease great and I love it.
Mickey why don’t you do some travel videos on the mainland
Was never a fan of the dtf jia hang mien in Sydney,,,,,,there’s better
this guy is like a talking trip advisor review.
I wonder how he has friends all over the world.. I wanna be friends with Mikey Chen!
Mikey wanted his sisters, Violette and Katherine
Yeah in my country there is saying ; Older the chicken is ,better soup😜.
Din Tai Fung is a Taiwanese staple. And yes, I was very impressed with the services at the Taipei 101 branch. Excellent management and fully representative of the Taiwanese people's courtesy 🙂
Mikeeeee….ur meant to eat the soup with the dumpling not drain the soup out of it.
Those girls are really enjoying themselves NOT. They look so scared and agree on anything he says.
And Mikey it is rude not to offer them first before eating yourself.
Honestly, the way you eat soup dumplings makes you a questionable reviewer of them. To each his own, but if you eat something different from how everyone else does, how it tastes to you won't be the same as others. For instance, if you like to eat your spaghetti noodles and sauce separately, or your fried chicken without the skin, you'll probably like different stuff than other people do.
I’ve often craved dim sum or chow food when I watch his videos but no place I know of in the Boston area have cart service now and due to transportation issues, especially now when it is snowing and they are predicting up to a foot of snow, I’m not traveling really far for takeout and have to wait an hour or more outside to bring it home to eat.
Legendary video
Looks like Vancouver soup dumplings should still be on the top your list.. I remember how happy you looked in that video..
All of those servings in Taiwan are smaller than at the Din Tai Fun's in LA. And for good or ill, the USA is amazing for absorbing cultures and cuisines. There is a Din Tai Fun in Arcadia CA. just a few blocks from where I grew up – and a quarter of the the wait staff are young white kids, and they are learning Chinese and committed to the cuisine and the culture. I think that is amazing. When I was young in the 1970s, those same white kids were working at the bowling alley.
Please visit Din Tai Fung in Vegas next
Rerun
Complaining about the good but….. "oh I like that, it's really really good." Ok mr. Hypocrite. Self proclaimed connoisseur aren't real connoisseurs

燒賣是沒湯卻有汁的. 拜託哦
They speak little english
Shame that soup dumplings can't be half soup with hot oil and vinegar and ginger all inside .
Mike likes to take a tiny bite of the soup dumpling to pour the soup out. Why doesn't he use a chopstick to poke a hole and pour the soup out?
Yummy
Can somebody please provide the standard Mandarin pin yin and the most common restaurant romanization for what Mike is calling "jia jia mian"? Also, the traditional Chinese characters, if possible.
Because I u ate it to go in Las Vegas. lol
