Hirosaki Park sits in the middle of the city of Hirosaki.
Tohoku’s most loved spot for cherry blossoms is perfect
for koyo season too.
1000 maple trees and 2600 cherry trees start to color leaves in middle of October and Hirosaki Park is clothed in red and yellow leaves.
Those trees are illuminated at night and everywhere in the park are very impressive.
You can see the fantastical view of autumn foliage reflected on the surface of water.
秋になると日本一の桜の名所として知られる青森県の弘前公園の紅葉も約1,000本のカエデ、約2,600本の桜の木々の葉が美しい紅葉を放ちます。城内の紅葉の中で行われる「弘前城菊と紅葉まつり」は、紅葉を楽しみ、菊の品評会などをおこなっていた観楓会が発展したもの。公園内には桜のほかにも大イチョウなど、さまざまな樹木と桜紅葉（さくらもみじ）が主役となり、桜の時期とは違ったカラフルで一層、鮮やかな景色を園内で楽しませてくれます。
