You probably have not heard of Kyushu. And that’s excatly why you should go. It’s an experience of Japan like you would never have when you just go to the big, touristy destinations like Tokyo and Osaka. And more importantly, IT’S CHEAPER!
Here’s how we went around North West Kyushu in 7 days, and how we experienced both the big city and the countryside of Japan. And we are sharing with you what we call a ‘visual itineraray.’ But also, here is the actual itinerary of Day 1 2 and 3 of the trip! You may use it as reference for your visit.

NORTH WEST KYUSHU 7-DAY TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arrival
1. Arrive at Fukuoka International Airport
2. Take the free airport shuttle to the domestic terminal for the subway station.
3. Take the subway to Hakata, have dinner at nearby restaurants, and explore Hakata a bit. (Option B: Take the bus directly from the airport.)
4. Transfer to Sasebo via train from Hakata Station. (Option B: Take the bus from Hakata Bus Center.)
5. Spend the night in Sasebo.
DAY 2: Explore Sasebo!
1. Visit the 99 islands Aquarium and have lunch at a nearby restaurant. (Take the P2 Bus from Sasebo Station)
2. Take the 99 Islands Cruise.
3. Take the bus back to Sasebo station, then take the train to Huis Ten Bosch.
4. Explore Huis Ten Bosch. (Tip: The pass becomes cheaper after 4 pm)
5. Have dinner at Huis Ten Bosch.
6. Spend the night in Sasebo.
