I have wanted to go to this temple for YEARS!!! YEARS!!! But it has been closed for construction since I moved to Tokyo and finallllyyyyy it reopened this summer!
Gotokuji Temple is a really lovely complex in residential Tokyo that is really such a different vibe from my Shinjuku shopping trip the first day 😅 Like, completely opposite ends of the spectrum 😆 But I like both vibes…in balance!! I’d be overwhelmed with just Shinjuku but bored with just Gotokuji, you know 🙈
