The Green Maze of Fukugi Namiki, Okinawa, Japan – 備瀬のフク木並木 沖縄 – DJI Pocket 2

In the town of Bise in Okinawa, there is a calm area called Fukugi Namiki that’s like a maze lined with several thousand of evergreen fukugi trees (Garcinia subelliptica). They act as a protective barrier against wind, sun, sea spray, airborne sand and fire. It is said that some of the trees here are as much as 300 years old.
