THRIFT SHOPPING IN TOKYO! 2022 (Shimokitazawa | Harajuku & Yoyogi Park)

The end of fast fashion!?? With limited packing space for our trip to Japan we knew we would have to buy more clothes when we arrived, but thankfully the thrift scene in Tokyo is INCREDIBLE! I honestly didn’t know second shopping could be so fun! There are some very expensive places with vintage items, but also lots of cheap bargain bucket places.

In this video, we’ll guide you through some of the best thrift shops we found in Shimokitazawa. Not only will you be able to find some great clothes and accessories, but you’ll also be helping to support some wonderful local businesses! Harajuku is famous as fashion capital of Tokyo, but Shimokitazawa had sooooo much to offer. Aswell as spending time in thrift stores and walking the streets of Harajuku looking for kawaii fashion we also spent some quiet time in Yoyogi Park with our friends. Tokyo may be crazy busy, full of shops and dense with people, but there is also room for slow fashion and slow days in the park.

We are Philly and Keely and we live full time in our tiny home on wheels Martha. After building our DIY home in a Citroen Relay camper we spent a year living on the streets of London before quitting our jobs only to be met with lockdown. Then we took our van further than she had ever been before to the very beautiful Turkey. Enroute we stopped off in Spain for a few weeks where we experienced every van lifers worst nightmare, we were robbed and they stole all valuables in our van. But now we are back on our feet, fully MOT’d and back on the road through Europe and beyond!!
