The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is an iconic mountain sightseeing route between Tateyama, Toyama, and Ōmachi, Nagano, Japan. The main attraction of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is the scenery of the Tateyama Mountain Range, part of the Chubu Sangaku National Park, however, the route boasts iconic views at every stop like the Tateyama Ropeway and the Kurobe Dam.

After walking ten miles through the night, I started my trek up the mountain from the Nagano side at Ogisawa Station… then the beauty followed me at every turn.

The Kurobe Dam was super impressive, and the Tateyama Ropeway was literally so amazing. And hiking at Murodo was life-changing. It was worth pulling an all-nighter.
