Our last day in Lima, Peru! And we enjoyed it by filming a travel video at Parque de la Reserva, popularly known as Parque de las Aguas due to the beautiful magic water circuit. And being in Peru, we had to try the coca leaf! Coca leaves are harmless in small quantities and even have medicinal effects, especially against altitude sickness. You see them being sold all over Lima, and today we tried coca leaf in a drink.

More about Lima, Peru:
Lima, the capital of Peru, is a vibrant and lively city. The Centro Historico district is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the birthplace of the city. You can see more in this other vlog in Lima: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIyCUQKZdyU
The most well-known district in Lima is Miraflores. It’s also among the main tourist attractions in Lima. Miraflores is an exclusive residential and upscale shopping district south of downtown with various hotels, shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, and nightclubs. You can see Miraflores here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14-ArHSAYr0
Barranco is considered Lima’s most bohemian district, being the home and working place of many of Peru’s artists, musicians, and photographers. In the 19th-century, it was a fashionable beach resort for the rich and famous, and today, Barranco’s beaches are still among the most popular in Lima. ► WHO AM I?
I am a Brazilian journalist living in the United States. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged the life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer.
I created this channel to share the beauties of the world… stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!
P.S.: The guy who occasionally appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and is extremely shy, that’s why he’s behind the camera most of the time 😉

excelente
Great video Renata; I actually enjoy all your videos in Peru. Best time to visit all attractions in Lima is on weekdays from April to May.
Excelente vídeo, me gustó. Saludos

Thanks for visiting my country. You guys are welcome back anytime.
Renata. Que bueno que te guste mi país. Hace poco vi tus vídeos de Cabo Frío y ahora te escribo desde acá, ayer estuve en Praia do Forte, hoy en las playas de Arraial do Cabo y mañana iré a Buzios.
🙂
This channel better then I remember. Love from Minneapolis
Another great video. I still haven't made my way to Circuito de Aguas @ Parque de La Reserva. Next trip, I will.
I've been to Ayahuasca Bar, though. Amazing place, good food & drinks. May be a little expensive for the average Peruvian pocket, but the place is so nice and great to chill out in company of friends or loved ones.
Renata, thanks for visiting my country of birth. Hopefully you will go back soon and do Arequipa, Cusco, Machu Picchu and even the northern coast. Your videos are fabulous, well edited and of a high picture quality.
If you ever come down to Australia, let me know.
Looking forward to check your next adventure. Obrigado!!!

Coca leaf tea had no adverse effects on me at all, but it really helped with altitude sickness when I was in Peru and Bolivia.
Nice to see a country in south America that has got its act together
ACOMPLEJADA!
Great videos of Lima – I will be there a week on Thursday, wish me luck!

Renata did Gordon make sure he did not drink any of the fountain water, remember the water for washing your feet at the beach incedent,by the way I was watching a very good documentary on a Brazilan island just of the Brazilian coast were you were filming your Vlog about the beach and the small island you waded out to,the island is called snake island were you need a special permit to go onto to film, because of the snakes 🐍 that inhabit the island, scientists go onto the island to collect snake venom to be used in medicine 🐉🏥 and to do research on the snake population and how they effect the ecology of the island such as birds and small mamals,as i.have an intrest in Herpotoligy Toxicology being used to save lives in Hemotoligy, Neurotoxicolgy, and Cytotoxicolgy, did you know that snake venom from Copper head snakes is used to combat cancer in breast cance🔬, elements in the venom have found to attack and kill breast cancer cells, the Brown snake of Australia venom is used in emergency wound dressings to reduce blood loss due to trauma hemorage , as it has hemotoxic elements that make blood clot very fast,Brazil has lot to offer in Pharmaceutical 💊💉research because of the diversity of plant and animal life that Brazil has to offer the world, such as Curari used during surgery 💉. I just came into talk about the colourful water fountains ⛲ in Peru and I ended up talking about Pharmacology and Brazilian Island of the East Coast of Brazil,by the way make sure Gordon removes his Sun glasses before he takes a mouthful of water.😎🍶 ⛲😝🙆,by for now have a safe journey back to the USA God bless.

Whenever you're back in Asia, you should check out Vietnam if for no other reason than to apply that old Spanish classroom adage: « Dos y dos son cuatro en Lima y en la Conchinchina !»
Since Peru and Vietnam are the exact opposite on the globe!
Hey Missy coca tea isn't that great I drunk so much in Cuzco hoping to get a high off of it it helps with the elevations in climate clearly your not Peruvian 😂😂😂
