    On Sunday afternoons and evenings many groups of people gather in costume around the Harajuku entrance to Yoyogi park. There used to be so many different groups hanging out and some dj's play for free as well. Great people watching for sure!! Not far from the Meiji shrine actually. Happy Travels

    I have never been to Japan, but I know a tiny bit of Japanese and can somewhat read the kana parts (not most kanji). I don't know which type of soba it was, but the meal you had were soba noodles (ใใฐ, made out of buckwheat) and not ramen (ใ‚‰ใƒผใฟใ‚“ or ใƒฉใƒผใƒกใƒณ, made out of wheat).

    But it's basically the same type of dish (just different noodles) and it seemed like you enjoyed it so that's all that matters.

    at 13:00 you had ไธญ่ฏ ใใฐ (chuu-ka so-ba) It is quite similar to ramen but the chuuka means japanese spin on chinese style noodles

    It's a shame there's so little real neon left in the city. Most of the signs these days are backlit plastic or LED. Neon was so much more interesting.

    palace in kudanshita is beautiful. highly recommend. only 2stops from Tokyo by Tozai underground line. you can walk about 30 minutes.

    23 cities in the city, proper compared to the rest of Tokyo prefecture. The size of each of the 23 cities are still impressive, let alone of some the population counts. You got Chinese style soba noodles. Most any ramen (miso, tonkotsu) will have pork (bar the few that are fish based) and a half cooked egg. Technically ramen can vary greatly in the broth type and noodle density around the country.

    30 years ago Shibuya is very similar to what it was then except for a much better developed area around the station.
