Vienna to Prague by Regiojet train, showing business class, relax class, standard class (Astra & regular) class and lo-cost, the food, scenery & stations. For more information about trains from Vienna to Prague see https://www.seat61.com/trains-and-routes/prague-to-vienna-by-train.htm.

Fares start at €15 in standard class, I paid €32 for business class. Business class gets you complimentary Illy coffee & bottled water, a complimentary individual bottle of sparkling wine, all classes get free WiFi & power sockets at all seats. I found Regiojet a great service, dead easy to book on their app on my iPhone.

  1. Wonderful, Thank you, Mark, Your films are premier, they are far more interesting, and innovative w/o the mindless blather of other posted vids, Bravo ! (We hope to see more of you this year)

  2. Ausser Prag nur hässliche Ruinen, hat man die 30Jahren in der Demokratie in den kleinen Städten nichts gemacht?!🤔 Traurig 😥!Prague hlavni station?????!!🧐🤯Prague Main Station!👍

  3. I use the Regiojet from Vienna to Brno and besides the competitive price, the on board service and comfort exceeds the offer on Austrian or Czech Railways. I wish it was running into Germany. Btw sushi is offered on the on board menu.

  4. 4 hours?? It really doesn't need to take so long; from Vienna to Budapest with Railjet it just takes slightly over 2 hours. The Railjet Taurus loco travels at up to 230 km/h, so it could take even shorter. How long it takes from Vienna to Prague with Railjet? It shouldn't take more than 3 hours.

  5. I was just looking at train travel to various destinations from Vienna and voila! This video pops up. Thanks again. Your work is very helpful.

  6. Hi, I've been trying to find a schedule of Regiojet from Vienna to Prague. I could not find it. I hve 2 alternatives to choose from. First, Vienna to Brno with Railjet in 2nd class ( it's OK for 1hr 27mins) and Brno to Prague in Business Class. Price is 3X lower than OBB Railjet First Class. Outrageous. Second is also Regiojet Vienna to Brno by bus and transfer to Regiojet train in Business class. Price is 5-6X lower than Railjet.I found your video. I noticed the time 10:39am. This time is not in their website. Travel date is May 6. I could not understand.Thanks.Antonio

  7. Having just been to Vienna and staying very close to the station, it was lovely to watch this as I went inside there and I thought it was a really good station, Britain's railway stations have a lot to learn from…I also saw many Regiojets from my hotel room window…

  8. Your videos are awesome! We don't have trains where I live and I have never ridden one. Your videos allow me to experience train rides if even just a little bit!

  9. I don’t trust discount services very much. They are cheap because they don’t pay their people very much, they don’t maintain their equipment very well, they buy cheaper food to sell you, or it’s less comfortable etc etc nothing good is free.

  10. I believe the business class section on RegioJet is the former Austrian OBB coach with 4-seated compartments and reclining black leather seats. It's very nice how you managed to walk through the whole train and capture the ambiance of all the different classes and coaches. From what you could tell, did every coach have its own steward to check tickets and look after guests, or was it one steward for every two coaches?

  11. Hungarian Railways could learn something from this company.
I still don't understand, how can a private company make such great service, for so low price. Funny that It's cheaper to go from Vienna to Prague than to go from Budapest to the lake Balaton. Whelp..

  12. i was going from bratislava to prague ths year on regiojet buisness class (just for fun 😀 ) must say its okay but when i was going back i go in relax class in single seat and that was much better for me, and prices for food or beer was very good i enjoyed my trip
