Really miss Anthony Bourdain.our family loved his shows, his content and his wit and sarcasm was excellent
My son got food poisoning at the aria buffet in Vegas,it was terrible.you just have to watch what you eat,i stay away from the seafood but unfortunately my son was keen to eat it,it was a dry bit of salmon so you just have to be so careful
Really enjoyed this livestream! Great advice from Anthony Bourdain and enjoyed your take on his thoughts.
Anthony Bourdain was the greatest. I have watch all his shows. I watch him today the cooking channel he went back to do a shift at restaurant he use to work at Les Helles it was so funny he was totally lost on what to do.
Anthony bourdain really opened my eyes to new cultures through food. I actually tried Korean bbq through this, I am trying to narrow down a good middle eastern place that does it right the problem is Orlando doesnโt really have that yet. Indian is tough to find between they cater to the American audience and I canโt find authentic restaurants. I had a pretty narrow focus on food despite being raised in a restaurant because of what Iโm used to but Anthony bourdain blew it open when he debuted. Seriously I wanted to meet and understand what he was thinking all the time as he worked kitchens like I did trying to figure out what he wanted to do.
I went to the papaya king where Anthony bourdain visited constantly which yeah itโs still the same as ever. It was fine just I donโt like sauerkraut for some reason. I think the vinegar is too strong but whatever. I also had a slice too it was a meal on the go which was fine.
For me Anthony Bourdain was the first Traveling Culinary Philosopher and a virtual friend. Someone that Iโd never met in person, but felt like I knew intimately. In reality, most of us felt the same; that was part of the captivating charismatic personality and the magic of Anthony Bourdain. He transmitted an exceptional persona with a uniquely authentic, and at times almost poetic, way of communicating his views of the world. He embraced the peopleโs and the cultures of the world with love, open mind, and deep humility; and in the process he literally opened up a mesmerizing view of the world for countless millions. He had a way of taking everyone of us along (as if we were lifelong personal friends) on his journeys of cultural and culinary discoveries; and always with a most tantalizing touch. Ironically enough, though, he was also a genius that had grave difficulties with his own image โ he felt like he wasnโt worthy of the fame and the immense success that he had garnered. His humble beginnings and his many trials and tribulations in life made it difficult for him to deal with all that public recognition. In retrospect, and in light of his tragic end, he must have clearly been covertly tormented by certain inner demons and personal losses that he had been wrestling with during his adventures. The end came as an absolute paralyzing shock to many of us, and the sadness cut deep, but I actively choose not to dwell on the tragic events and instead focus on the countless invaluable life lessons, his immortal legacy, and his generosity of spirit. Thank you Anthony Bourdain for everything, and thank you Chris, too, for honoring the immense contributions of this most extraordinary human being.
The world ๐ is ending!
Iโm sorry I was busy during your livestream, very entertaining and informative!
I grew up in L.A.
I never regarded the In-n-Out by LAX as special but I can appreciate what travelers feel about it.
You mentioned a place in Westchester w rotisserie chicken burritos and tacos. Did you mean El Pollo Loco at the corner of La Tijera Blvd. & Centinela Ave.? Spatchcocked chicken cooked on open fire grill, the best menu item is to get a 4- or 8-piece of chicken which comes w tortillas, salsa, and rice/beans/cole slaw to make your own tacos. One of my favorite places.
Many locations in SoCal, sadly not so many here in the SF Bay Area.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the great livestream. Definitely the original culinary bad boy. He really inspired many to explore the culinary offerings a a place. A man ahead of his time. Glad that I was able to enjoy his shows and hopefully other will take a look at his shows. Thanks for sharing and take care.
