[Material video] Honjo Festival 2022 – Teodori and musical accompaniment of the Sawara music lineage

It is a state of Teodori and musical accompaniment in Honmachi.
The original teodori had died out, but the Sawara-bayashi was introduced from Sakura (Uemachi), Chiba Prefecture, with whom he had an acquaintance, and was revived around 30 years ago.

The big festival of Kanaya Shrine, which is popular as Honjo’s “festival of the guardian”. The floats are decorated with beautiful carvings and elaborate metal engravings finished with gold leaf and lacquer, and the curtains with splendid patterns. .
