And there is no food in this vid? I hope you are both well.
Hahaha Eric being all shy with Kyde's family :.)
Thank goodness… finally!! PAPER BAGS! π
Anytime somebody say's Kamehameha the first thing that comes to mind is Dragon Ball Z.
Kamehameha
Dragon ball z
Look it upπ
Super video, and a super couple as always
Kyde's looking extra pretty here!
Cock sauce you say? I call it kickin' chicken. I think the pronunciation is KUH-MAY-UH-MAY-UH.
no, not all caves are lava tubes. limestone caves eroded because of underground (and sometimes above trickling down) springs.
with your presence there, no wonder the volcano was active…it's excited to welcome you.
I am laughing on the inside because I painted several large free murals (still standing) in Hilo and Papaikou and you guys missed 'em. Well, you saw 'em, but you can't do 40 hour videos! LOL If you're vaguely interested in seeing which ones I did (all for free), shoot me an email at familyguise@yahoo dot com. Glad you liked Hilo!! We have a lovely home in Wainaku, 1.5 miles north of downtown. Aloha!
WAIT. 10:07. Do you have to spot it? Otherwise, nice!
Kyde with the Teen Spirit in the cave. Jeez, I miss those days (Nirvan, skate boards, wreckless youth, etc)
Cook got stabbed by an angry mob.
A.V. = Abandoned Vehicle
Wiki says Hawaii was independent until 1893 and ruled by Queen Lili'oukalani. It then became a US territory in 1898 and finally a US state in 1954. So during Pearl Harbour it wasn't a true US state. Cook was killed by the locals in 1779 during a dispute over a paddle boat. The lighting is 40 Watts, not 40 Amps. 40 Amps would fry that lodge. Those shower heads are all the rage these days in new builds. But they make me think of that song "I'm going to wash that man right out my hair." from the musical South Pacific. The upstairs bed is called a mezzanine as in the top deck of a sailing ship. One of the inner cables has become loose on your connector jack. Very common problem, particularly on headphones.
Man Hawaii looks pretty cool
The camera lighting issue might be the beard's black hole gravitational field sucking in all the light. Kyde stands just outside the beard's event horizon and remains bright. It's not a neutron star, but what can you do?
Okay today I'm on TEAM ERIC because of nards, hat eating cave/tubes, tubes either lava or cave, improper foot wear, and Tom Sawyering….. No matter what you two made a great video…thanks. I would tell you about Captain Cook, but I'm sure you've been told already.
maybe AV means abandoned vehicle?
27:55 Wow! Dragonball has Hawaiian origins?
One of my favorite videos! Loved Kyde's reaction to the chickens and made me think of the time I looked after 50 chickens/chicks in Tassie, Australia ππ
Cave was like "that's a nice hat it'll be a shame if something were to happen to it Bam πππ
Good to see you guys doing well. Really hope to visit there someday but til then, thnx and take care!
The best quote prize today goes to "The active lava is doing stuff". I want a T-shirt.
As someone who had to go to the ER from a rental car that got rained in and returned by previous renter and had grown a mold under the seats and other unseen places that made me very ill, I hope you let the rental car place known it was rained in so they could pull car out of rotation. They sued the previous renter and they had to pay my medical bills.
You should watch Ferngully. It's a fun movie.
eric, where did you get the meowsic shirt from ?? or if anyone else sees this please help
Nice Cawk…..er city?
As per usual for your videos it seems, Youtube had not not served it til 2 weeks later. Perfect saturday morning discovery though!
@Fruit Share: Lotsa people have fruit trees on their property. Usually a single tree is more than a person can use, so what to do with the excess? Give it away in a food share stand! Just a shot in the dark, but it seems reasonable.
LOL No caves are not lava tubes because caves are in sedimentary rock called limestone. Over time that cracks and the water that gets in them erodes those cracks out and as a result forms passages, rooms and formations.
Your cracking video didn't bother me one bit because I am working on paranormal investigation material, the mic is so hot, there are times you can hear your heart beat and you breathe. Quite spectacular pops and peaks.
Kaumana caves actually continues to go on for a few miles and comes up into someones yard π
Paper bags – Remember when killing trees was considered bad?
i think eric might be one of those "Emos" from the early 2000's
She is getting more beautiful with age.. <3
Very beautiful video be safe and have fun aloha from volcano
When Kyde was bouncing the camera around at the statue, I thought my laptop was falling off my desk and I jumped to grab it. haha
The view from your cabin reminds me of a book I read which involved a place named Desolation Road .:)
So what I learned in school in Hawaii about Captain Cook is that he arrived in Hawaii and was mistaken for the god Lono because he landed where Lono was said to return to at the right period on a floating island (ships) and was treated as a god. However upon leaving his ship had issues and he was forced to return which told Hawaiians he was not. When back in Hawaii, some islanders saw the rowboats that were used by Captain Cookβs crew and because there was no concept of ownership, decided to try them out. Upon returning the sailors accused them of stealing and a fight broke out where both the king and Captain Cook were called. Captain Cook was accidentally killed during the fight (some say by his own men) and the sailors fled back to the ship. By now the islanders knew that Captain Cook was not a god but still someone of great importance, so they treated his body like they would treat royalty, by stripping the body of the flesh and putting the bones into a box (With royalty the box would be secretly buried and the person who buried it would be killed as they believed possession of the bones was possession of the personβs power). Hawaiians believed that the personβs life force and strength was in the bones and the flesh was just flesh. When the sailors returned, they were presented with the box, and when the sailors opened it and saw the bones, they fled back to Europe with the story that Captain Cook was cannibalized. This is also where the misconception that Captain Cook was cannibalized by the Hawaiians came from.
I see a big muff and a phase 90 on your desk π
it seems like they visit this tree, of a million roots, in every video, no matter where they are. π
"Kamehameha"? I must be getting old. I learned how to pronounce this while watching the original Magnum P.I. back in the day: Kuh – may-uh – may-uh π
