Have always been curious about the religious and spiritual practices of the Japanese people and how they are such a disciplined and caring society.
My curiosity took me to Mt Inari in the ancient city of Kyoto, where the main shrine of Inari Kami was consecrated in 711AD.
I realized Shintoism is simply an aspect of Japanese life. They focus on rituals rather than beliefs. Rituals that place importance on purity, respect for nature and ancestry. In fact a way of life that focuses on values and morality.
In this video, i am sharing my enriching experience of summiting Mt Inari to
a sacred Shinto shrine.
Please note that my commentary in the video here is just from my own perspective of my journey.
