After exploring Ishikawa Prefecture, we’re crossing the border into Gifu Prefecture via one of Japan’s most beautiful roads, the Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road, for the ultimate road trip. This picturesque toll road is only open between mid-June and early November due to the harsh seasons in this area, but its limited time exclusivity makes it all the more exciting to travel down! A one way trip will cost you Β₯1,700, but the White Road offers beautiful views of the surrounding Hakusan and Tateyama mountains from its observatories, a treasure hunt to find some of its many waterfalls, gorgeous hiking trails and camping and also some of the most stunning autumn leaf viewing spots in Japan, so it’s worth every yen. If you plan on visiting the famous thatched town of Shirakawa-go from Kanazawa City or vice versa, make sure to time your trip for the ultimate road trip along the Hakusan Shirakawago White Road!

    Bears reaction to the tiny waterfalls, he had hope and then it went, also I feel if he said lowest bench then that is saying something. It is still so beautiful ❀️ I may have just discovered onsen but don’t think ready for that public onsen. Also anything that means minimum walking and I can see beautiful nature I can appreciate it
