I personally keep a decent collection of bonsai and I love watching you go through these trees as a “non bonsai” person and see your perspective. It is good to remember how those not terribly familiar with bonsai view them. Well done, btw! Really enjoyed the tour!
2nd one you called a Chinese juniper is actually a needle juniper. And the "rocks" used for what you called landscape bonsai, that's called "suiseki". Anyone interested in real bonsai need to check out Bonsai Miria here on YouTube or their website. There is WAY more in bonsai than most people think and everything in what you see here in the "formal display" of bonsai has a reason and purpose. None of these are grown under lights indoors or any of that stuff most western people think. It's so funny hearing some of the things people are asking you lol. I could only watch like 7 mins but good video quality. Bonsai is by far my favorite hobby and there is so so much more to it than just a tree in a container and it's also a very hard hobby to learn and takes years of patience and discipline to have trees of the quality shown in Japan. I hope anyone that really enjoys bonsai really look into Bonsai Mirai.
Should get a Crassula ovata (jade plant), they're cheap, easy to grow, don't mind if they don't get watered for the odd month, and kind of look like bonsais?

Omg HE TOUCHED IT!! ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY TOUCH THE BONZAI!
Sorry but I don't see the distortions as beauty, more a depiction of struggle and pain.
