  1. Thanks so much for watching 🙏❤️ what was your favorite new spot in St Pete from this episode?

Also if you have other St Pete recommendations OR Downtown Tampa recommendations leave those in the comments too 😊

And thanks again to Abruzzi's Hot Peppers for sponsoring this video.

  2. My old stomping grounds for over a decade. I’ll always love St. Pete and Tampa Bay, but it grew too much for my taste. Great video, though! Enjoy!

  3. Hey! You guys are my fave St. Pete peeps to follow! I don’t know what your plans are and definitely not trying to be all up in your biz, but I may know of a place for you guys just outside of downtown. I have to disclose I’m a licensed realtor, but I truly think you guys would love this little house I saw the other day. It’s 10 minutes from Treasure Island and 15 minutes from downtown. Anyway would love to connect sometime. You guys are sooooo awesome!

  4. Lived it St Petersburg 35 years. I can't believe how expensive it is. . It's almost impossible to find a place under $2000 a month. Some of these rentals want a million different qualifications and fees just to move in now. We're also having to relocate. Looks like Pasco county is more in our price range. It's even getting expensive up there.

  5. Oh no, you can’t move away from downtown St Pete…it honestly looks like such an amazing place to live 😍
I can’t believe all these amazing new places, on top of all the others that you’ve shown throughout the year!
But umm…$17 for a milkshake 😳 it looked amazing, but probably just a once in a lifetime kinda milkshake 😅
Seems like you guys have a few decisions to make about your future plans…wishing you all the best with that, it’s so exciting though 🤗

  6. 51 year old Saint Pete Native…Lakewood HighSchool Spartan Class of 1989. Old School Down Town Stomping Ground was Channel Zero, Mastry’s, Janus Landing and Big Catch. Remember dancing to 90’s alternative music I.e. Nirvana, Cure, Smiths, Depeche Mode, etc.. at Channel Z w/ all the locals…awe the good ole days. I now reside near St. Pete Beach / South Pasadena and ride my ebike down pinellas trail to down town St. Pete Saturday Market. Enjoyed your video; how times have changed.

  7. note, the reason 'so many new places' is because so many terrible half assed places open and fail.
Smashburgers are overplayed. paying premium prices for a beef wafer, nah.
Also mayo NEVER goes on beef. EVER. do you put that trash on a steak? no so dont ruin a burger by putting egg and fat all over it. wakala.
makes sense that you like vegan food. you ruined the burger with mayo. lol

  8. New subie!! 🔔 YT randomly recommended this channel which is great because I just moved to St Pete

  9. Moved from St. Pete last year to higher ground. Left for the mountains where I pay $600/mo less in rent. Additionally, my landlord pays electricity, internet and cable services which is more savings. I can order a good meal for $4.50. That's reality I can live with.

  10. I like it how your videos are authentic, heartfelt and local. I'll always be just a tourist in Florida, but I want to hear from people who live there and have skin in the game, so hearing you admit that 17 dollars is too much for a milkshake was a breath of fresh air. Also, when you asked for suggestions of a place to rent, that was very relatable. I'm tired of (wannabe) wealthy bloggers spending a fortune on a drab meal and pretending it's normal.

  11. FYI, for the visitors Re. The climate. Cool in Oct. is NOT the norm. Our HOT & very MUGGY summer is a full eight months, April thru the end of Nov.. Too hot for most people to be outside biking, walking, running, playing, or anything else, except to walk to the car. I had out-of-state family visit in late Nov. who didn’t want to get out of the car due to the heat. This is the norm.

  12. The milkshake from the yard looked absolutely amazing. Charleigh would love it!!! Paul would be making the same face that Skyler made though when purchasing a $17 milkshake.

  13. I can't believe there are still MORE places to see in St. Pete! You've taken us to so many great spots already 🙂 The $17 milkshake is outrageous…but I went to San Diego a couple of years ago and I think I paid $14 for a cocktail and, just like Jamie, I was comforted by the fact that I got to keep the glass, lol! What was really nice was that my waitress actually gave me a clean glass! Did you get a clean glass? I really liked the Ringside Cafe and need to add it to my list of places to go while I'm in the area. I love me some 80s hair bands so I have to keep an eye out on the live music schedule as well 🙂 I liked the ambience at Good Fortune. I'm looking forward to your video on riding the Sunrunner. I'm sorry that you guys may have to move 🙁 I hope you're able to find a reasonably priced place nearby (and I look forward to finding out if that place even exists since my dreams of living in St. Pete are being dashed by the high cost of rent). The last spot was really exciting because I LOVE me some churros! The best churros I had was when I went to Mexico. They had a little crunch to them. Looking forward to the next video 🙂

  14. I love your videos ❤I also love St Pete and live in the Edge District. Unfortunately it has gotten obnoxiously over priced. 😢

  15. Thanks for showing us all the new hot spots. That milkshake looked so extravagant… and expensive 😂 excellent video. 😊

  16. Anytime I hear someone mention the price of a milkshake it makes me think of the 5 dollar milkshake from Pulp Fiction… burger place looked like one to check out! 🤙🦀🌴

  17. I was literally cracking myself laughing over the look of Skylar's face at the mermaid Shake – Must be expensive. LOL…$17 would be way over my budget – That's like 23AUD here – lucky you only got the one !
That Asian fusion spot would have been amazing, so colourful and the meals looked divine. Would have probably ordered that salmon too but the ramen looked awesome too.
Hey Jamie, nice job getting Skylar to the vegan spot, not sure I could get Matt there. I have cooked him vegan meals before which he likes, but he would never opt for them. I do love my meat too, but always nice for a change.

I can't believe the rent is going up so much that you might have to move – Thats sad but I hope you find somewhere affordable soon. I'm sure whatever happens, your channel will continue to thrive and you'll have some new places to cover on your channel! NO MORE 17 buck milkshakes..LOL
Nice way to end it with a Churros – Been ages since i've had one of those !

  18. Lol, Skylar your face about that $17 milkshake says so much! Sorry to hear that the cost of living is getting so high there, but a change of scenery is never a bad thing and it will give you even more to explore. We can't wait to see where you land!

  19. If you are looking for a unique stay in Tampa near Ybor and Bush Gardens, try Art House Tampa stay on Airbnb…

  20. Hey guys!
I’m very much enjoying your stories. Being an older resident in St pete, I don’t get around as much, so your reviews are helpful. Your 👍 and 👎 of Florida is right on target, having lived here nearly 30 yrs, from Massachusetts.
Good luck on the Apt hunt. Hope you can stay nearby.

  21. I feel the pain on the $17 milkshake. In fairness, inflation, and it was a pretty cool looking milkshake. 🎉😅

  22. awesome! i love the vegan options in St.Pete! question though. what is the average price per month you'll pay for the average apartment in st.pete?

  23. Oh look yankee refugees who ruined my community. Priced me out. Now make u tube videos about it. Y'all are the worst man

  24. Woohoo, thanks for reviewing Good Intentions! It seemed a bit pricey for us during our last visit a few days ago, but based on your excellent review, we may have to try it next time! 🥳 💚

Hot tip if you want to explore more vegan eats (on the cheap!): Golden Dinosaurs in Gulfport does vegan Cuban sandwiches for $6 each on Thursdays, and you can get a delicious "flight" of five different vegan ice cream at Plant Love Ice Cream for just $9! 🍨

  25. I love that they took a lane away from 1st Ave N and S as well as South Pasadena so people who commute for work have a longer drive! It's for "equity" though, so you know it's all 👍🏻
