A good way to avoid ending up with so much coin change is to use an IC card to pay for stuff in places that accept them, especially at konbini.
Great tip on bringing the passport when shopping! We will be in Japan in a few months, hopefully the USD continues to be strong vs the Yen.
A good money saving tip in terms of exchange rate is actually look for bank accounts that allows for foreign currency to be stored(In Australia examples: HSBC, Citibank)I usually lock in my exchange rate and transfer money from AUD to JPY then when you land over there, you can pull out JPY in local ATMs (7/11 or other convenience stores). This helps alot as usually the rate you get at airports or even other exchange stalls aren't as good as bank rates! Also you don't have carry around a huge amount of cash. Hope this help you guys in future trips!
ANYWAY, in Japan You are legally required to carry your passport AT ALL TIMES as a tourist.
Nice
Go to a cat cafe !
hm is the ticket fr narita to tokyo?
SUUUUUSHIIIIIIIII
Nice video! What’s the difference between the Japan Rail Pass and the Suica cards? Both seems like for train rides? Enjoy your trip too !
8:05 Can you guess what does 1-12 numbers are for??
I thought you guys have jr pass, so why still buy individual tickets???
Can't wait for to see the rest of your Japan adventure.
Please tell me all the good things about Japan
I read that you have to fill in mysos or vjw. Did you do that or is it no longer necessary?
Take the boys there ❤
the intro looked so beautiful !! great video too, the visuals were incredible ❤
I'll be there in a couple weeks! My first trip in 3 years! Been going for 20+ years and still the #1 travel destination for me.
Besides train fare, Suica card can be used at major restaurants, major grocery stores,
some retail stores, convenience stores and vending machines.
So you don't have to carry lots of cash.
You can also use suica at Konbini^^
One thing I recommend for having cellular data on Japan is getting Ubigi, which is an eSim you can buy online and its very cheap!
