  1. Yeah, most of these are go to places. I usually stop by Loft (variety store, slightly upmarket from Tokyu Hands) and KiddyLand (four floors of toys). Nakano Broadway is great for new and vintage merchandise, like 70s Star Wars action figured, etc. Cool thing about Yodabashi and Bic Camera is that their selection is broader than cameras and gadgets. Can spend hours there and fill your 🛒…

  2. Hi Nathan! Love your channel. One store I like to shop in is Towe Records in Shibuya. No too many of them in the world. In addition, one can find music offered in other parts of the world.

  3. Akky 2 in Akihabara is my go to place for souvenirs & Mandarake is great for finding unique bargains, I love visiting Diver City in Odaiba for the Giant Gundam outside and the store inside on the top floor also Carls Burgers on the ground floor has as far as we’re concerned the best fast food burgers in Tokyo. I always make a pilgrimage to the Tamiya shop in Minato City Shimbashi. Can’t wait to be back out there in January.

  4. Thought you were gonna leave Daiso off for a sec…. Can't do that lol! Went to that spot in Shibuya, definitely recommend.

  5. I really liked Teramachi Kyogoku in Kawaramachi, Kyoto. It's really historical and filled with many specialty shops. For my work shirts I go to Motoki Ginza in Tokyo.

  6. On my next trip i will intentionally pack only half of my clothing and go crazy in a Uniqlo store. Please don't tell the customs officer when i come back! 🤫🙏😂🛒

  7. Another great video Nathan! Don’t forget if you buy lots of souvenirs you can post them to your home using Japan Post. They post up to 30kg for less than a new suitcase purchase. And you don’t have to worry about extra luggage costs at the airport ❤🐸

  8. 🛒If you like Gundam, then as mentioned in a previous video there is Gundam Factory Yokohama, Gundam Side-F plus Gundam Bases in Odaiba and Fukuoka. All of these locations have items exclusive to them.

  9. Nakano Broadway is on my list wanting to find more affordable pop culture merchandise if not in Akihabara. I'll look into Harajuku if I can find something interesting, but I also want to look around Shimokitazawa in the subject of fashion and shopping.

  10. I have never carried a passport in Japan (a no no). And never got the “tax free” thing. What is it? Not kidding. I just figured it was like 6% sales tax, like in Michigan. Also do I get some of that insane 15% tax the hotel charges me back.
TOKYU HANDS for the win. 🎉
Add Costck & Grocery stores (maybe I’m early. (Haven’t finished watching 😅)

  11. I'm not a big shopper when I go there , probably next time I will walk into these electronic stores and look or buy , my mind is so overwhelmed when I'm there , in a good way

  12. Is it considered rude to try on clothes at a store? I want to take some selfies in those Harajuku shirts, lol

  13. Hi Nathan, first BIG thanks again for all the videos you made the last few months to keep us motivated to go back to Japan. In my case I'm leaving next week to Yokohama (I'm cleared to go thru mySOSapp). There is also to mention the Book-off shops. I'm buying all my cd's there 2nd hands, because buying new those prices are crazy.
