The Steam Train prepares to depart the station in Blonay en route to Chamby. The century-old steam train takes visitors on a 3 km journey through viaducts, tunnels, and pastures that offer a magnificent view of the Vaud Riviera, Lake Geneva, and Savoy.
A visit to the Blonay-Chamby Railroad Museum allows the curious to discover one of the most complete and representative railway collections in Europe with over 70 pieces of rolling stock!
The Blonay-Chamby railway workers, all volunteers, have been welcoming you with the same pleasure since 1968. In our historic trains, the benches are generally made of wood, and the windows open. The typical sounds and smells of the railways of yesteryear are reminiscent of Belle Epoque journeys. The convoy rises above Blonay, crosses a viaduct, crosses a tunnel, then the view opens onto Lake Geneva. From Chamby, the train heads back to our Museum where you will discover our collection housed in two exhibition halls as well as our restaurant. Enjoy your ride on our trains!
