After five days in Tokyo it was time for a change of scene from the big city. So I took a bus from Shinjuku station to the little mountain town of Kusatsu.

πππ they are clever they got you to book πππ but I have to admit I'd be in that hot bath in a heartbeat! Have fun! ππΌ
15:04 Somebody famous?
This was a wonderful glimpse of that hot spring town. β€οΈ Super annoying seeing over 99% of people wearing masks OUTDOORS, though. Ugh. Short hair on you is most fitting, Gabe. π
Hahah those pics had me dying π
Smart move with the taxi, Gabe! That's called wisdom π!
what phone are u using?
So exciting and interesting!! Enjoy!!
Gabe did you get the Dji 3? William Taudien just bought one and has used it in his last video wide screen
The food looks great and soulfulπ₯°
Hi Gabriel…why don't you do a video withe harld baldr?
Smart cat lol
Must be some good ski areas around there.
19:10 that is funny
Beautiful and different!!! i love it when you doudt and wonder what to do, your expressions are precious!!! but usually it turns out okπππ
hmm $65 USD a night for very tiny little room , seems very expensive to me?? should be about half that ..
Glad you made it! Dinner sounds amazing and now to soak and relax. Looking forward to seeing your next video!
6 minutes in… truly inspiring how you are able to point the camera away from your face 90% of the time! As soon as I do I feel an irresistible urge to turn it around so I can talk directly at the lense which for some reason just feels normal.
Anyways… I'll keep practicing π
BTW shocked you got a room for $65! In January 2002 I paid $60 in Minowa for a tiny closet of a room. Could not even open a suitcase in it that's how small it was. Amazing that prices are now actually slightly lower in real terms
No offense Japan but nothing Gabriel showed impressed me about your country ( not Gabe's fault) people seemed to be hurrying everywhere with little seen interaction. No laughing, no smiling, no music or artistry. Bland buildings . Odd food. Not sure I'd want to visit. Again forgive me Japanese people if I've insulted you. I'm sure my impression isn't completely right
15:02 Hahaha, This TV crew is a famous duo of young comedians in Japan called NEW YORK. You may not know them, but it was a lucky encounter.
Hard to believe you havn't used an air con like that before they are all over the world.24c being celsius is warm.
Hey Gabriel, staying in hotel rooms seems to be very reasonable. Did you by any chance check out the capsule hotels? Are they cheaper or cheaper enough to make it worth staying in them to save money???
I have plans to go to Japan in the spring to see the cherry blossoms and visit some of the temples. If my Japanese lady friend is available at the time we will do a little traveling too.
Just started the vid…… really can't wait to see the mountain places you go to Gabriel….. they truly are beautiful π ππ
Rellay good shareπ§π©

Funny, I was just about to ask you if you knew that Baldr mentioned you in his latest video, once again, and now I see he has commented…
I enjoy your Japan series. But I also feel like you are lacking of research in advance. I was frustrated when you random walked in Akihabara and missed all hot spots. Stop and think before you waste your (our) time. Hokkaido is inconvenient for travelers without cars but has many to offer like food, national parks and its unique history. Ryokan provides you great food and experience. They are expensive, but staying there a few times during you stay might be good for you (us).
Lovely town!
You could fart and no one would notice
In my travels I learnt about two things:
Never trust random strangers in the streets what they tells you what is where, cause its coming from their head, not how you want it to be always
Never trust cool pics on websites about hotels, cause many of them are half-lies, or full lies
People are usually going to an onsen town to use the onsen arround so to me it was clear that this isnt the place but maybe for a first timer it could be confusing. But the reason for people to go there is to do hot spring hopping and to all the different places around the hotel.
That picture is public hot springs. You should ask house manager showing that picture.
If you don't have any footage of you in that little bath in your next video, I might have to quit your channel π Surprised you lasted five days in Tokyo with those little towns calling! What a cute little place!
Great Japan episodes. I would "kindly request" if you could talk about visiting/moving around in Japan from the perspective of not knowing the language…Merci from Paris
Love your Vlogs been a flollwer for years. If you go back to Tokyo and want to meet up with a local my son (English) has been living in Tokyo years.
Good job Guys. Please come to Indonesia
Hey Gabriel. Loving the Tokyo videos, and looking forward to seeing more of the country and no doubt more of your "yai yai yai's" π (looking for subway lines/ food menu's/ bus stations) haha
This is some of your best work, ok ok im biased as i love japan!
Wow looks like you got tricked with that hotel and private spring
Wow you found the place.. look up Aogashima. It's a hidden wonder. The sky can be seen clearly from the inside of the volcano at night no light pollution. Hot springs everywhere. The island is a sleeping volcano. Ferry gets you there you must be very close it's southern tip of Japan.
One thing that I wouldn't expect is that eating is not so expensive in Japan, at least looking at these videos here.
You can get to reach kusatsu by express train , which is Express Kusatsu , much more comfotable than busπ
Ahh. Pork Katsu Curry Don, an excellent choice. Katsu is a meal to bring luck.
Sainokawara Rotenburo is the place you were looking for. Itβs a beautiful hot spring surrounded by nature.
Welcome to Japan! Very good choice for visit!!
Love your videos, what go pro do you use?
Japanese food doesn't look very appetizing to me. Though I like sushi and Tempura.
Gabriel……is Japan Hotels price and Japan food price are cheaper than America Hotels price and food price???
Really liked this video, Gabriel. You make the viewer believe they are with you on your adventure, helping you figure it all out. The Japan series is awesome!
