We took the STOL Bonanza to the 1600ft backcountry grass runway at Dug Bar on the Snake River, but (after a thorough bath) our lunch stop lacked an airport, so we landed on the highway for burgers and shakes at Fields Station. And I finally let someone else fly the plane.

I’ve been flying since I was 16 and at age 19 flew around the world by myself in the same 1981 A36 Beechcraft Bonanza I still fly, becoming the youngest person ever to solo circumnavigate by aircraft.
Now, I’m sharing all kinds of aviation adventures with YOU! Ride along as we explore the world from the air and get a close up look at some of aviation’s best flight experiences and destinations.

Love your videos, I've always wanted to be a pilot, but never did it, I was always told it was too expensive, that was when I was young. But here I am, and still dreaming, that one day I'll just do it. Anyways, just wanted to say you are a cool dude, bet would be fun to hang out and go on adventures.
Content not worth the embedded adds. Won’t be back.
Those are Grasshoppers
Whow, BOLD Pilot! Good luck, you will need it sooner or later 🙂
Since when was half a mile 3600ft?
Dude, you rock! I have a '57 H-35 I'm rebuilding. I hope to do adventures like you! 🙂
how the hell is the FAA not turning you into mince meat after this?
I wonder what the driver of this car was thinking haha
Would I want to land at this restaurant with full tanks or high levels, or fly around until fuel levels got lower?
How does the FAA feel about the non emergency road landing?
There is a little town called Alzada in the extreme southeast corner of Montana that has a bar right on HWY 212 and the local ranchers land their planes and park them at the bar sometimes…..pretty good grub and a good straight shot outta town
What is the airport code for your logbook 😂
only liked this vid bec of the Eh at 15:18 i live in Canada
Who was Recording You from the Ground?
Someone should paint runway numbers and landing markers on that road!
What the hell?! Landing on a road, casually driving into a parking lot? That can't be legal… Right?!
Meanwhile i get ticketed for doing 5km/h over the speed limit…
Pretty cool though, and executed in a safe way, so why the hell not… Don't do it in the netherlands, though. No road is empty for more than 10 seconds, ever.
Just in case that wasn't a brain fart, a nautical mile is 6,080 ft. 5,280 ft is a statute mile. But I might mix that up on the fly too:)
Cool flights! Alvord and Fields is a unique place.
Landing next to that river looked amazing. I want land there next time I'm up that way… I never landed on a road either 🤣😂 .. good shit man
It's kinda odd seeing field/dirt landings (as a matter of practice) done on tricycle gear. And retractable at that! It's a testament to his skill that he's never damaged his nose gear with all his casual bush style landings and takeoffs.
Additionally, I've never seen a Bonanza setting away from pavement either.
He gives this Beech a real workout.
Fun vid! I enjoyed the ridealong!
Badass kids!
Oh man if I did that in Scotland they'd have my licence.
love it
Anyone notice the little kids? Thankfully they didn´t get anywhere near that prop.
Good times <3
Looks cool
The most boss way to order a burger right here lmao!
Love you videos. You know your stuff and it is a pleasure to watch. However, those are not crickets.
Good Work…
Just catching up on some of your earlier videos; enjoyed the show!
Wow nice landscape
You guys remind me of ''Teaser'' UFO's that buzz small rural towns or places. Nipping in for a burger and shake, then off on a new adventure. Very cool…
That is more beautiful than MSFS2020 in VR… what settings are you using?
9:29 from the angle this shot it taken from it makes the bonanza look like a scale RC plane
Funny looking crickets
Who is your yummy co pilot
Men now you are one of my favorite youtube channel, One day Ill fly a g36 thats dope!!!!
dumb question. Why do you bring your gear up, when there's still usable runway ?
is fry voice a requirement for flying, to make it sound more Pro? lol
cool video
I like the engine background audio, very nicely implemented, subtle and low on the wind noise.
I would do just about anything to get a chance to fly with y'all. My buddy was an instructor with JATO at San Carlos Airport (maybe you know him) and I live just up the hill from there. If y'all are in the area and ever have space for an extra passenger, hit me up please!!
What are you watching on your cell? Is it aviation nav or something us land lubbers use?
That was stupid and arrogant landing on the road.
Who took the take-off footage, or did you return for your camera?
10:58. That has to be the most intense VFR flight plan closing I have ever witnessed…
Did you visit Hanger 180 while there at KLWS? Pretty awesome place and the people are nice.
Hats off to you young bucks!
I wouldn’t land in those mountains, and I have 28,000 hours 🤪
So, I think I missed the reason you were trying to land on that god-forsaken little piece of land down in the middle of a canyon.
