The Japanese Garden takes up 5.5 acres in Portland’s scenic west hills and includes 5 separate garden styles, a Japanese tea house, meandering streams, intimate walkways and, on a clear day, a great view of Mount Hood. The garden is said to be “the most beautiful and authentic Japanese garden outside of Japan.” I found it a quiet, peaceful, pleasant place to visit during my stay in Portland.
