Shirasaki Ocean Park
It is located in Yura town, Hidaka-gun, Wakayama Prefecture. in Japan.
The entire park is surrounded by white limestone, creating a beautiful contrast between the blue sea and iceberg-like white rocks, and the surrounding area is surrounded by rich nature.
The scenery, which has been written about in Manyoshu (Japanese old poem) since ancient times, has also been selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Sunsets and Japan’s Top 100 Beaches.
If the weather is good, you can see as far as Shikoku from the observatory.
This limestone is from the Paleozoic Permian period (more than 250 million years ago), and fossils of fusulina and sea lilies can be confirmed at the quarry site.
In 2018, Typhoon No. 21 Jebi severely damaged the facility, so it was completely closed. It is now partially restored.

道の駅「白崎海洋公園」
和歌山県日高郡由良町にあります。
公園全体が白い石灰岩に囲まれ、青い海と氷山のような白い岩とのコントラストが美しく、周辺は豊かな自然に囲まれています。
古くから万葉集にも詠まれるその景色は、「日本夕日百選」や「日本渚百選」にも選ばれており、展望台からはその景色を一望することができます。
展望台からは、天気が良ければ遠く四国まで望むことができます。
この石灰岩は古生代ペルム紀（２億５千万年以上前）のもので、採石場跡地では「フズリナ」や「ウミユリ」の化石を確認できます。
2018年の台風21号Jebiにより施設が大きく被害を受けたため全面閉鎖していました。現在は一部復旧しています。
