I had a business in Tachikawa so to reduce train usage I took my camera bag and filmed a walk after I finished the business.
I walked through streets around JR Tachikawa and Tama Monorail stations, filmed remains of Christmas lights, found a place with micro bars. Almost in the end I did very nice discovery with light show.
No cats were found 😿

  3. It is such a blessing to be able to walk as far and as long as you like! I just noticed that I am starting to walk like an old man, and these videos are a chance to remember how wonderful it was! P.S. I love the transition from day to night!

  4. People forget that in addition to general sanitation. Japanese design favors " clean " lines and simplicity. This creates the super clean vibe foreigners get from watching the videos. Combined with the fact that most people can talk without yelling or they have on work clothes, Tokyo seems not only physically clean but less threatening than nyc , london, or paris.

  8. I was stationed here in 1965-66 at Tachikawa AFB. How it has changed you wouldn't believe it is the same place, benjo ditches and dingy dilapidated shacks lined every street in the 60's. Japan is a great testament to a free society and capitalism and how it can bring a country from absolute poverty and misery to a prosperous great nation.

  9. Throughout the whole comment section i only found one comment about toaru and one misaka pfp

  12. I used to walk those same streets 53 years ago as an American high school student. I lived on Tachikawa Air Base, now Showa Kinen Park. I can't see a single landmark that I would remember now.

  13. I used to live here sadly i had to leave, this video is the best form of nostalgia, thank you.

  14. 타치카와에서 갑자기 샌들 밑창이 분리돼서 너덜너덜해져서 신발 완전히 해체될까봐 쫄았던 기억이;; 영상에 나온 딱 저 거리였음;;
