In today’s Japan walking tour video, I walk in Nishishinjuku (Shinjuku West), the west side of the world busiest station Shinjuku.
I filmed this just after the sunset (18:44 on this day).On this day, the sky was so clear and in beautiful blue at magic hours and couldn’t resist filming.
Nishishinjuku is a famous skyscraper/business district where many locations were featured in the famous movie “Your name” (Kimino na wa).

In the west of Shinjuku, there are many hotels as well. One famous hotel is featured in the movie “Lost in translation” is also here. (New York Bar on 52th floor of Park Hyatt hotel) Also there are luxury apartments too and surprisingly calm compared to busy Shinjuku station area, although it is located just next to it.

I like west Shinjuku because you can see the view of the iconic Tokyo skyline with skyscrapers and its night view is really beautiful especially on weekdays with all office lights in buildings. (Thanks to those work until so late!)
