In today’s bike shop tour, I am visiting Hup Leong Co in chinatown. They are a big Shimano dealer in Singapore and also carry Cannondale, Colnago, and Merida bikes.

They have a nice selection of bicycle stock from road bikes to gravel bikes and city bikes. They also have good stock of bicycle parts and accessories.

  1. Shimano is also the dominant brand here in sg for road bikes. 🙂
I previously wanted to go campagnolo but was recommended to Shimano instead. Haha

  2. Incredible bike shop & just a bit out of budget. Glad U2 R having a good time in Singapore. Take care & have a great fall winter 2022 to all.

  3. That shop was jam packed with stock for all requirements despite its smaller premises. I just loved the colourful kiddies’s bikes in diminishing sizes and the fact that the shop was integrated into a family residential area.
Best way to encourage people to take up cyclin, instead of becoming couch potatoes !

  4. So where would you recommend a bike focused vacation… Da Nang or Singapore? If traveling with girlfriend and family who aren't super into bikes yet.

  5. Good choice! They offer the most reliable and budget friendly bike service in Singapore. I bring my bike half way across the island to see these guys whenever I'm in need of a repair

  6. I LOVE THAT SHOP.
The prices are really good compared to US shops.
Do you plan to return to Da Nang, and if so, what are the bike shops there like? Maybe a tour of the bike shops in Da Nang?
I plan to retire there in a few years and risk my life fighting traffic while breathing motorbike exhaust between longer cross-country tours.

  7. Nice and concise video dude! NICE!

Hope you walked further along that road coz that would have brought you smack dab into the start of Chinatown hahaha!

  8. What, only $17,500 for that Colnago? Sure, sign me up! If I ever win the lottery, that is! Although, if that was the case, I'd trade out the DA to Campy to fit in with the Italian frame. But, that being said, my Colnago Super from way, way back has got DA-AX on it, but, I got a good deal on the groupset compared to Campy, so, yeah.

  9. Cruise,

What are their modalities in exporting to other countries should I want to buy gravel bike? I am from Kenya and always your vlogs are very exiting and informative.

  10. Have you visited blue lug bike shop when you were in Japan? Great video btw, loved that very blue area of the shop because of all the shimano parts 😂

  11. Great tour. How about hitting up Cycle Project Store in Singapore or any others doing custom steel or Ti?

  12. Always neat to see bike shops. I wonder how often they sell the top tier Colnagos in your video. Looks like disk brakes have taken over. I'm still running rim brakes.

  13. Those folks are great! They did some great work on my Diamondback back in 2019 while my ship was in drydock.

  14. Bought a Merida bike from Hup Leong a few years ago. Good service and from this video looks like they have expanded the range of bikes/accessories that they are selling.

  15. Is there a place near the shop where potential customers can test ride a bike – on the nearby road maybe?

  16. Wow what in amazing shop.. Colnago bikes are great and beautiful bikes.. in Colombia 🇨🇴 Colnago bikes are very popular , some people commute up to 60 miles to work on road bikes

  17. Nice bike shop. Very clean and supplied. Thanks for sharing…🎥😃👍👌👊🙏🚴‍♂️

  18. One of the worst bike shop around! They are so atas…. So rude. Asking a simple question and you get negative attitude! Pui….! Not one I’ll ever step in again!

  19. Big fan of that Cannondale Bad Boy with the belt. And the lefty fork on the kids balance bikes is a fun detail.

  20. Huge contrast of bike shops in Singapore vs. Japan. Singapore bike shop displays and store layout is more utilitarian. Japan bike shops store layout are like beautiful botiques. Kawaii culture reigns supreme.

  21. Been a long time since I last patronised this shop. They have been around for decades and are one of the few multi-generation family owned local bike shop.

  22. This neighbourhood is a forgotten area near Chinatown, where elderly folks rent the single room govt supported housing.

  23. Do you know Nha Trang in Vietnam? Maybe you can recommend it or not? What u think, whats a good option how to change a City in Vietnam for example from Da Nang to Nha Trang? I have always my road bike with me. Is there a Bus, Train, public Train or private Train who can take me with my road bike? Greetings
